In this exciting sequel, Moana embarks on a daring journey beyond the reef to save her people, discovering new challenges, allies, and the true power of her identity along the way. Admission is $1 for all ages. Snacks and drinks will be available at the concession stand. Doors open 30 minutes before each showtime. Join us downtown for Once Upon a Market, a magical evening of fairytales, local finds, music, and community fun. Whether you’re into knights, dragons, princesses, or your favorite book characters, this is your night to bring a story to life. Costumes welcome! Dress as your favorite storybook character, fairytale hero, or fantasy creature and join in the adventure. Over 30 vendors throughout downtown and inside businesses, Food trucks, Kids area will be poppin’ with crafts, games, and imagination, and Grass Lake Chalk Wars!
Jackson Camera Club Meeting. 7 PM to 9 PM. If you’re interested in photography, this is the group for you! From novice to pro, you’ll find likeminded people to have fun and learn with in a casual setting. Meetings typically include discussion on various photography topics along with a critique session of digital photos submitted via USB drive that evening (one nature, one “family friendly” photographer’s choice, and one assignment topic). 40 Years in the Hood: The Detroit Heidelberg Project Exhibition at Ella Sharp Museum. Witness an extraordinary exhibition curated by renowned Detroit-based artist Tyree Guyton, whose work has transformed the art world and inspired communities for over 40 years. Tyree Guyton is best known for his iconic Heidelberg Project, which has turned discarded objects into powerful symbols of community, resilience, and hope. Thank you to the Charles Aymond Foundation and Alro Steel for sponsoring 40 Years in the Hood: Detroit’s Heidelberg Project. Thanks to The Heidelberg Project for making this exhibit accessible to Jackson’s youth, neighborhoods, and surrounding communities. ESM admission rates are waived from now to October 26th!
