Farmers Market and Music in the Park.  Weekly Farmers Market in Downtown Grass Lake.  4 PM to 7 PM.  Music in the Park featuring Slim Nichols, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.  120 Brown Street, Grass Lake.

National Running Day Celebration.  National Running Day Celebration!  Grass Lake Farmers Market, 120 Brown Street, Grass Lake.  Join us as we celebrate the sport of running with a 3 mile group run around the lake (running at 6 pm). Joining us are Orthopedic Rehab Specialists (they will lead us through a warm-up and cool down), Ann Arbor Running Company and New Balance shoe reps to answer all your questions. Bring your lawn chairs and stay to enjoy live music in the Park!

Summer Reading Program at Jackson District Library.  Explore the “Oceans of Possibilities” that await you at your local library during JDL’s 2022 Summer Reading Program.  Sign up today by clicking here.  Simply read for four hours between June 1 and July 31, log your time on the site linked above, and enter to win a wide variety of prizes including gift cards to local favorites like Cascades Ice Cream, Jax 60, the Michigan Theatre, Ella Sharp Park Putt-Putt, the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, and the Jackson County Fair, among other prizes. Every four hours read gets you another entry into a prize drawing of your choice.  During the months of June and July all of our 13 branches throughout Jackson County will host family-themed programs and events like ARK Animal Encounters, Bubbleman, and magicians and storytellers.  

Plant Exchange.  Jackson District Library Eastern Branch.  Share your green thumb or start your garden with the help of your neighbors! Visit the Eastern Branch during open hours in the month of June to donate your healthy cuttings or house plants. Then peruse the donations and take home some greenery to brighten your home or yard.
