Jackson County Restaurant Week:  Comfort Food Edition.  Jackson County Restaurant Week returns November 10-16, 2025. Visit any combination of participating restaurants county-wide to enjoy a selection from their special $15 menu featuring a variety of comfort food options. Participating restaurants and menus here.

Astronomical Observatory Viewing Night.  9 PM to 11 PM.  Students, employees, and community members are invited to enjoy an evening of stargazing through our campus telescope! Please visit the Astronomical Observatory web page before attending to confirm the event is still taking place, as it may be canceled due to weather conditions.  Jackson College Central Campus.

Jackson County Emergency Food Distribution.  11 AM to 1 PM.  South Michigan Food Bank (SMFB) will have an emergency food distribution in Jackson County next week! On Wednesday, November 12th, SMFB will be at the Center for Family Health to support our neighbors facing food insecurity. We will have emergency bags, meal kits, and additional a la carte items available to take home. No ID or additional information is needed to be brought for pickup.  Center for Family Health, 505 N. Jackson Street.  While supplies last.

Nom Nom November – Free Community Meals.  5 PM to 6 PM.   1208 Greenwood Church is opening its doors every weekday from 5–6 PM for the rest of November to provide free meals to anyone in need. Come as you are, enjoy a warm meal, and share community with us. Each day will feature a different menu of the day, prepared with care and open to all.
