
Jackson Recreation Department Youth Basketball Signups. The Jackson Recreation Department, in cooperation with Jackson Public Schools, presents 4th, 5th, 6th Grade Boys and Girls Basketball League. Game days are Saturdays from January 15 to February 19 at Hunt, Northeast, Parkside, and Jackson High. The registration fee is $15 (attend or live in JPS district) or $25 (outside JPS district. Registration includes t-shirt. Volunteer coaches are also needed interested in a fun, skill-building basketball league. Homelessness Awareness Week Fundraiser. 308 Brass Rail. You’re invited to 308 Brass Rail on Wednesday, November 17 between 11 am – 11 pm to grab a meal and support the Jackson Interfaith Shelter! They have committed to donating $5 of every $10 meal box sold during the day to the shelter. This is a great opportunity to support a local restaurant and simultaneously give back to the shelter. Deli Turkey – turkey, bacon, mayo, lettuce, tomato. Comes with a bag of chips and an orange.
Railer Burger – ketchup, mustard, pickle, onion. Comes with fries.
Barbeque Pulled Pork Sandwich – Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ, topped with an onion ring. Comes with a bag of chips and an orange.
Rooney’s Reuben – swiss cheese, sauerkraut, corned beef, thousand island dressing. Comes with a bag of chips and an orange.
Stacked Ham and Cheese – American cheese melted on 5 oz. of ham. Comes with a bag of chips and an orange.
Chicken Quesadilla – shredded chicken seasoned with taco seasoning, green pepper, onion.

The Arbor Church Weekly Food Drop. The Weekly Food Drops will take place every Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Volunteers will be distributing pre-assembled food boxes directly to cars at The Arbor Church, 120 East Main Street, Spring Arbor. No restrictions, everyone is welcome. While supplies last!
Birthbrite Community Donation Drive-In. The mission of Birthbrite is to deliver hope and joy to children in foster care. Birthbrite stocks a wide variety of items for children and families in their foster care closet. Items are then provided to foster care children and families free of charge. Items being accepted from November 15 to December 6. Suggested donations (new items only please): diapers, baby hygiene products, clothing, shoes, children’s underwear, children’s books, sensory/fidget toys, bath towels, toys. Donations can be dropped off at Callaghan’s Coffee Cafe, 109 S. Main Street, Brooklyn; Jaxon’s Playhouse, Summit Oaks Mall, Ferguson Road; Doll n’ Burgers, 323 South Cooper, Jackson.
