Astronomical Observatory Viewing Night.  9 PM to 11 PM.  Students, employees, and community members are invited to enjoy an evening of stargazing through our campus telescope! Please visit the Astronomical Observatory web page before attending to confirm the event is still taking place, as it may be canceled due to weather conditions.  Jackson College Central Campus.

Off the Clock:  JobSquad Edition.  4 PM to 6 PM.  The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us for an evening of networking, connection, and community at Jobsquad Staffing Solutions.  1000 N. Wisner St, Suite 4, Jackson.  Off the Clock is your chance to meet fellow Chamber members, explore one of Jackson’s thriving local businesses, and build relationships that help strengthen our business community. Whether you’re looking to grow your network, catch up with familiar faces, or simply unwind after the workday, this is the place to be. Stomp Out the Stigma Fair. 5 PM to 7 PM.  Come check out the resources Jackson College and the City of Jackson have to offer students! There will be several on and off campus resources available for students to learn about, including food assistance (Harriet’s Hub), government healthcare, STI status awareness, mental health, academic accommodations and more. Free food and information for all that attend!  Jets Hangar, Jackson College Central Campus.

Nom Nom November – Free Community Meals.  5 PM to 6 PM.   1208 Greenwood Church is opening its doors every weekday from 5–6 PM for the rest of November to provide free meals to anyone in need. Come as you are, enjoy a warm meal, and share community with us. Each day will feature a different menu of the day, prepared with care and open to all. It’s pan fried chicken over bucatini noodles covered in a special homemade white sauce. We’ll have vegetable soup, salad and bread on the side as well 🙂

Karaoke/Open Mic Night. 7:30 PM to 10 PM.  Karaoke & Open Mic at the Honky Tonk — where the talent’s local and the crowd’s loud (in the best way).  Grab your friends, pick your song, and make some memories on the big stage.  Honky Tonky at Oak + Iron, 151 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

Next Gen Machinist:  More Making! Ready to level up your manufacturing skills? This next session builds on the Intro to Making course, giving students a deeper dive into hands-on modern manufacturing projects. More hands-on projects, more learning, more fun!  Wednesdays, November 19 – December 17 (exclusion date: 11/26/25).   3:30–5:30 p.m.  Students will explore: Precision Machining, Engineering Design, and Print Reading.Expand skills, explore new techniques, and continue their journey in manufacturing.  Jackson Area Career Center.  Register here.
