Rummage and Book Sale. Jackson’s First United Methodist Church invites you to the annual Rummage and Book Sale.  275 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.  Wednesday, Oct. 23 | 3-7PM, Thursday, Oct. 24 | 9AM – 3PM, $3 Bag Sale 9-1PM.  Everything is FREE Thursday 1-3PM.  Handicap Entrance is off of Cortland St.  Proceeds support local and international missions through JFUMC’s United Women in Faith.

St. Louis Center Trunk or Treat.  5 PM.  t. Louis Center is excited to announce our 2024 Trunk or Treat will be held on October 23rd. Festivities will begin at 5:00 PM. Community members can look forward to decorated trunks, a haunted house, a community dinner, and so much more.  This event is a community favorite that is always packed with fun activities for all ages. It is also a great opportunity to get to know the St. Louis Center residents and staff! The residents love to participate and interact with new people as they welcome the community to visit the St. Louis Center campus. 16195 W. Old US Hwy. 12, Chelsea.

Julia Child: A Recipe for Life. New Exhibit at Ella Sharp Museum.  Julia Child: A Recipe for Life, explores the key ingredients in Julia’s personal journey, which became part of America’s culinary revolution, through a series of immersive experiences. Julia’s insatiable curiosity and tenacious spirit drove her to endlessly try, test, and teach how to make delicious food. Learning empowered Julia and she in turn empowered others, profoundly transforming American cuisine and food culture.  Julia Child: A Recipe for Life is a traveling exhibition produced and toured by Flying Fish, developed in collaboration with Napa Valley Museum, supported by The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts, the Schlesinger Library, Harvard Radcliffe Institute, and generously sponsored by Oceania Cruises.  Tuesday – Friday: 10 am – 5 pm, Saturday: 11:30am – 4pm, Sunday – Monday: Closed.  Admission includes Museum Galleries and Hurst Planetarium Shows.  Check here for updates.
