Dog Walk Meet Up at Cascades Park. 6 PM.   Bring your friendly, furry companions to the pavilion by the Fishery/Bandshell area of Cascades Park on Wednesday at 6:00PM and enjoy an evening of pup-loving fun. Grab your leash, lace up your walking shoes, and join us for Dog Days at Jackson’s Parks and Trails: the most pawsome dog-walking event of the year! Whether your furry friend is a playful pup or a seasoned tail-wagger, they’re sure to have a barking good time. We’ll be sniffing out the best trails, enjoying some fresh air, and meeting other dog-loving pals.  Presented by Experience Jackson.

Jackson College Cross Country Team Open Tryouts. 3:30 p.m.  Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse, Jackson College Central Campus. Join us for Cross Country open tryouts on Wednesday, September 4. Meet in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse and then have tryouts at the soccer fields. Please have a physical on file 24 hours before tryouts. Avatar Academy.  3:30 PM.  During this four-session program, tweens ages 8-12 will imagine themselves as avatars – design their avatar’s world, create a costume for their avatar and more.  Please call to register at the branch you would like to attend.
