Animals in Winter presented by Potter Park Zoo.  Try something a little different during Winter break! Join us in the Community Room and meet some of the residents of the Potter Park Zoo and learn how they prepare for Winter. Take time to visit the Andrews Gallery of Wildlife Art while you’re here. Seating is limited, reservations recommended. To reserve a spot, please purchase here.  Admission is $1, Members are free. Ella Sharp Museum, 1 PM to 3 PM.

Michigan Theatre Kiwanis Winter Kids Series presents “The Lego Ninjago Movie.”  Show Times are 11:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Doors open for the 1st screening at 10:30 A.M. and for the 2nd screening doors open at 1:30 P.M. 

Season of Light at Hurst Planetarium.  Explore all the reasons humans are so fascinated with lighting up our lives during the December holiday season. of the astronomical meanings behind seasonal traditions, including the “Star over Bethlehem”. The show will be followed by a live visual tour of the Winter sky and interactive flight through the universe.  6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Hurst Planetarium, Ella Sharp Museum.

Nite Lites Holiday Light Display at Michigan International Speedway.  Now through December 30.  Michigan International Speedway.  US-12 Entrance only, 12626 US-12, Brooklyn.    Time: 5:30 pm – 9 pm Sunday thru Thursday.  5:30 pm – 10:00 pm Friday & Saturday.  Pricing: $20 per car / vehicle, $35 per mini-bus, $65 per tour bus.

Thursday Movies at the Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us for some great films all month long. Widescreen, comfortable seats and popcorn too! Thursday afternoons starting at 2 p.m.  December 28: Christmas with the Kranks (2004, PG) starring Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Dan Aykroyd. With their daughter away, the Kranks decide to skip Christmas altogether until she decides to come home, causing an uproar when they have to celebrate the holiday at the last minute.
