Volunteer Kick Off at the Ella Sharp Museum.  Join us for the annual volunteer kick-off at Ella Sharp Museum!   Discover opportunities to develop new skills, expand your knowledge of Jackson, meet new people and connect with your community. Volunteers can participate in our annual events (Sugaring & Shearing, Art, Beer & Wine, Fall Festival and Winter Festival), interpretive programming, museum store, collections, maintenance, development and the administrative department. It’s also an opportunity to get to know the staff behind Ella Sharp Museum and Cell Block 7 and gain a greater understanding of how the museum works.  5:30 to 7 PM, Ella Sharp Museum. 

Eastern Movie Matinees with Reese Witherspoon.  Join us for some great films all month long. Widescreen, comfortable seats and popcorn too! Thursday afternoons starting at 2 p.m.  Today:  Wild (2014, R) .  Free admission. Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.

Fox Trot Ballroom Dancing Lessons.  Thursdays, 8:30 pm- 9:30 pm.  3 week lessons in a variety of ballroom styles.  Lessons are in a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere.
