Preschool Storytime at the Summit Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us at the Summit Branch every Thursday at 11 AM for stories, crafts and more. Intended for ages 3-5.

Jackson Young Professionals will hold their monthly group meeting today at the new Lofts on Louis in downtown Jackson. Monthly Large Group Meetings offers an opportunity for you to see new places and businesses in Jackson while networking and meeting other individuals in the area between the ages of 21-40.  Today, tours of the new lofts, presentations by a potential urban grocer and refreshments.  This is a FREE event!

Stress Less Art Therapy at LifeWays.  Use the creative process of making art to improve your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.  LifeWays offers weekly stress less events including music therapy, movie screenings and crafts to reduce stress. Each week is a different activity! This is a drop-in style class. No reservations are required. Open to LifeWays consumers and the public!  3 PM to 4 PM, LifeWays, 1200 North West Avenue, Jackson.

The JXN Community Forum presents Aging in the Community.  The March Forum will focus on two innovative concepts:  the Virtual Volunteer Village Movement and PACE, a Medicare/Medicaid program that helps people meet their health care needs in the community instead of a nursing home or other facility.  The JXN Community Forums are free and open programs to facilitate dialogue about challenging issues of our day. The forums are co-sponsored by The League of Women Voters and the Jackson District Library.  6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will spread back into the area overnight with snowfall of up to two inches possible. near and south of I-94 there may be a slight mixture with sleet and freezing rain. Significant icing is not expected. Roads will become slippery overnight.
