The 17th Annual Jackson Blues Festival begins today at the Jackson County Airport. Gates open at 5pm and the first band goes on stage on 6pm. On Thursday, admission  is only $5 and Veterans are Free (Thursday Only).  Tonight’s lineup:  6-7:05: Joe Stanley and the Facilitators,  7:20-8:25: Out of Favor Boys,  8:40-9:45: Big Ray and The Motor City Kings,  10-11: Boa Constrictors.  All Blues Fest long: Children under 12 are free.  Food Vendors are on site as well a beer tent.  Bring your lawn chair, blankets and sunscreen. Eastern Movie Matinees featuring Anna Kendrick Month.  Join us for some great films all month long. Widescreen, comfortable seats and popcorn too! Thursday afternoons starting at 2 p.m. Today:   Into the Woods (2014, PG).  Easter Branch, Jackson District Library.  Free.

Jackson YMCA presents Rumble Night.   Celebrate the one year anniversary of Rock Steady Boxing.  Join us at our Summit Branch from 6-8pm on May 31st to see what Rock Steady is all about.  You will get a great workout and see how this program is changing the lives of those with Parkinson’s disease.  Boxing drills, entertainment and refreshments.  6 PM to 8 PM.  $20 per person donation.  Summit Branch, Jackson YMCA,  Oaks Mall, Jackson.

Jackson College Garage Sale.  Find a deal for office or home today and tomorrow outside the Campus Services Building on the east side of Central Campus.  A variety of items will be for sale, including used office furniture such as desks, chairs, cabinets, filing cabinets, bookshelves and more;  computer keyboards, monitors, and hard drives; miscellaneous classroom instructional equipment and other office items.  Rain or shine, cash or check (with id) required at time of purchase.  9 AM to 4 PM.

JxnYP presents Business Unplugged.  Are you interested in networking with other Jackson Young Professionals in a casual yet fast paced setting? If so, please join us for an evening of speed networking! Speed networking is a great way to enhance your professional network through one-on-one interactions with other JYP members.  Bart Hawley from JTV will be providing the group with instructions to keep the flow of conversations on schedule as the evening progresses.
