St. John’s United Church of Christ presents Wine & Scripture.  Join us for wine tasting , scripture and fellowship as we explore the wonders of Michigan wines and the Holy Spirit!  All are welcome.  Free event with donation appreciated to cover the cost of the event.  7 PM, St. John’s United Church of Christ, 801 South Mechanic Street, Jackson.

Race Relations in America Film Series.  Celebrate Black History Month at the Carnegie Branch Library as we view African-American  centered cinema and have an open discussion after the film. This event is co-sponsored by Jackson Area Civil Rights Awareness Association. Wednesday, February 7 at 6 p.m.:  “Birth of a Movement”.

Pig Butchering 101 at Grand River Brewery.  Join us for a night of demonstrated pig butchery, food and beer tasting, and general education of the different cuts and variety of products produced by a whole pig. This class is perfect for amateur home butchers, home cooks, chefs, and food enthusiasts.  The Class will include:  Whole Hog Butchery Demonstration, Education of Basic Primal Cuts and Their Variety of Uses, Pork cooked to order, straight from the pig to the pan.  Variety of craft beer tastings.  5lbs of meat to take home and put in your freezer from the day’s demonstrations.   $125 a person.
Class is limited to 20 people  Tickets available via Eventbrite.  6 PM to 8 PM.

Pop Pilates at Spring Arbor Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us every Wednesday at 9 a.m. for Pop Pilates with Allie. Suggested donation of $3. Intended for adults.

Wednesday Night Cheap Skate at Allskate Fun Center.  6:30-8:30pm Skate & Laser Tag.  Admission is only $4 and skate rental is $2 (Skates or Blades).  Laser Tag:  1 play $5, Double play $8.  Family & Group Rates Available.  Hot Dog & Pop only $2.  Allskate Fun Center, 1313 West North Street.
