Painted Inspirations Stones at the Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.  Wednesday, January 3 at 6:30 p.m., promote random acts of kindness by painting inspirational stones and leaving them around Jackson.  All materials are provided, but registration is required. The Kiwanis Winter Kids Series presents “Despicable Me 3”.   Show Times are 11:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Doors open for the 1st screening at 10:30 A.M. and for the 2nd screening Doors open at 1:30 P.M.   Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

The City of Jackson will offer updated exercise class offerings at the Boos Center, 210 Gilbert St., Loomis Park. From Jan. 2-6, all classes at the center are offered free of charge.  Various yoga, Pilates, aerobics, Zumba and cardio classes on a weekly basis.   Classes are $4 each, or participants can pick up a 10-class punch card for $32.  Exercise classes include “Strength and Stretch” with Michelle Woods, a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer; “Rise and Flow Yoga” with instructor Beth Hall; “Pilates Barre Fusion” with instructor Amy Reamer; and more. Yoga at Meijer Branch, Jackson District Library.  Stop by the Meijer Branch every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and let Jeanette Lamphere teach you yoga. Suggested donation of $3. Intended for adults.

Wednesday Night Cheap Skate at Allskate Fun Center.  6:30-8:30pm Skate & Laser Tag.  Admission is only $4 and skate rental is $2 (Skates or Blades).  Laser Tag:  1 play $5, Double play $8.  Family & Group Rates Available.  Hot Dog & Pop only $2.  Allskate Fun Center, 1313 West North Street.
