The Kiwanis Kids Series returns with “Captain Underpants”. Doors open a half hour before show time. Screening times 11 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Admission is 1 Dollar.  Michigan Theatre of Jackson.

The Jackson YMCA presents Outdoor Summer Fun, free events for members and the community.  Yoga and Hiking at Dahlem Center.  9 AM to 10 AM.

Family Night at the Cascades.  Karen Kidder and the Alibi Band rock Jackson County with a mix of old and new rock classics.  Presented by The Myers Family Little Caesars of Jackson and Jackson County Parks.  Gates open at 7 PM.  Show begins at 7:30 PM.  Admission is $10 for up to 8 family members.

The Jackson YMCA presents Outdoor Summer Fun, free events for members and the community.  Walking Wednesdays.  10 AM and 6 PM.  Meet at Cascades Fishery Pond.

5 Beers for 5 Years Beer Dinner at Grand River Brewery.  We’ve come a long way since opening 5 years ago. To celebrate our 5th year anniversary we are hosting a beer dinner: 5 Beers for 5 Years!  Come visit us this evening at starting at 7 PM and taste the evolution of Grand River Brewery with a five course dinner paired with some of our most signature dishes – each paired with a GRB beer crafted and chosen by our Head Brewer Wyatt Andrews.  Tickets are $35, all inclusive.  Call (517) 962-2427 to make your reservation.

Public Forum for Feedback of Lead Exposure Elimination.  Hosted by the state’s Child Lead Exposure Elimination Commission (CLEEC) in Jackson today from 2:30 – 5:00 p.m. at the Jackson County Health Department,  1715 Lansing Avenue, Jackson in Conference Room 005.  Everyone with a concern about lead exposure for children is invited to this meeting.
