Annual Fall Book Sale and Bake Sale at the Meijer Branch of the Jackson District Library.  Presented by the Friends of the Meijer Branch Library.  November 1 through November 4.  Wednesday & Thursday hours are 9 AM to 7:30 PM.  Friday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday hours are 9 AM to 3 PM.  Saturday all items are $1 a bag.  There will be material for all ages.    

Summit Evening Book Group at the Summit Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us on Wednesday, November 1 at 6 p.m. as we discuss Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson. Intended for adults.  6 PM to 7 PM. 104 West Bird Street, Jackson.

Free Sneak Preview of the film Almost Sunrise.  Join us on Wednesday, November 1 at 6 PM for a preview of the POV documentary Almost Sunrise (premiering on PBS on November 13). This event is a collaboration with POV, the award-winning independent non-fiction film series on PBS.  Intended for adults.

Giving Back in the Irish Hills Expo.  The non-profit organizations of the Irish Hills are coming together this evening at Columbia Central High School  for an informational expo.  5 PM to 7PM.  Organizations will be sharing information about their impact in the community, soliciting volunteers and  showcasing what they do to improve our community.  This is a free event and there will be light refreshments and giveaways.

Pop Pilates at Spring Arbor Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us every Wednesday at 9 AM for Pop Pilates with Allie. Suggested donation of $3. Intended for adults.  Spring Arbor Branch 517-750-2030 113 E. Main St. Spring Arbor.

Yoga at the Concord Branch, Jackson District Library. Bring your mat and join us every Wednesday at 10 a.m. for yoga with Amy Reamer. This class is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5. Intended for adults.  Concord Branch 517-905-1379 108 S. Main St. Concord.

Le Monde en François. Calling all high school and college aged French speakers! Join us every Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6 PM. for the Jackson District Library new French Club. This is your opportunity to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing in French. Every week alternates between group meetings and study sessions. This is a French speaking group, not French language lessons. Intended for ages 16-23.  Carnegie Branch, Downtown Jackson.
