(November 11, 2024 9:32 AM ET) Experience Jackson, Jackson County’s official tourism bureau, kicks off Jackson County Restaurant Week: Burger Edition, today and running through November 17, 2024. Twenty-seven different local food establishments are participating.
“Everybody has a story of their favorite local eatery,” said Rachel Buchanan, Marketing & Development Manager, Experience Jackson. “We want to help you find that new favorite spot right here in Jackson County.”
Participating restaurants will provide a selection of $15 burger and side menu options throughout the 7-day period, with a variety of locations to experience breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner, with one bakery offering a hamburger-themed dessert selection.
Patrons simply visit a participating restaurant, request the Jackson County Restaurant Week menu, place an order, and request a punch card. Everyone will get a single stamp for their purchase. Taking a punch card to each dining experience and getting multiple stamps through the week qualifies guests for restaurant gift card drawings following the event. Guests are also encouraged to use the hashtag #TasteOfJackson during the event to highlight images of their experiences.
“Across the state, the restaurant industry is a driving factor in our communities, contributing more than $2 for every dollar spent by a customer back into the local economy,” said Ryan Tarrant, Experience Jackson and Jackson County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO. “Restaurant Week is an opportunity to promote and support a local accommodation and food service sector that employs 4,500 people in Jackson County alone.”
Participating restaurants include Baby Bear Burger, The Bar, Bella Notte Ristorante, Bone Island Grille, Booher’s Fresh Market & Diner, The Crazy Cowboy, Doll N’ Burgers, Eagle’s Nest Bar & Grill, Fawzi’s Sports Bar & Grill, The Five Forks, Flavorz, GG’s Parma Café, Grand River Brewery, The Horton Hop, The Hunt Club, Lucero’s Mexican Bar & Grill, Mama’s Mercantile & Eatery, Nite Lite, Ogma Brewing Co., RJ’s Metropolitan Ice Cream Co., Roadhouse Grill and Bar, Rocky Top Beer BBQ & Grill, Rookies Burger Bar, Schlenkers, Steve’s Ranch Family Restaurant, Veritas, and West Point Lounge.
In addition to traditional hamburgers, various dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, low carb and gluten free options will be offered. Restaurants have been given creative freedom as experts in the food industry.
“Beyond a variety of dietary offerings,” said Buchanan, ”You’ll find unique options like a coney burger, two different Thanksgiving themed turkey burgers, a breakfast burger, and even a burger-themed dessert selection”.
