Boys district soccer

Lumen Christi 2, Jackson Christian 1: The Titans scored with 8.4 seconds remaining in the D-4 home district game to advance. Elliott Stevens scored the winning goal for the Titans.  Lumen Christi will face Lenawee Christian at Lenawee at 6:30 p.m. in the district semifinal. Isaiah Diverno scored the first goal for the Titans as they took a 1-0 halftime lead. Anderson Jacobs scored four minutes into the second half for Jackson Christian. 

Boys tennis

Western at D-3 Mason/East Lansing areas: Western High School earned three points on Friday at the Division 3 finals in the Lansing area. Match results were not posted as of 9 p.m. on Friday.  

Columbia Central at D-4 at Kalamazoo: Daniel Pero of Columbia Central High School advanced to the state semifinals on Friday with a pair of wins at No. 1 singles. He will play in the semifinals at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Stowe Stadium at Kalamazoo College. 

Girls golf

 

D-4 finals at the Meadows (GVSU): Lumen Christi Catholic High School leads by 13 strokes heading into the final day of the Michigan High School Athletic Association D-4 state golf finals. The Titans shot a four-man total of 345 to lead Lenawee Christian (358) and Lansing Catholic Central (363). Columbia Central is tied for seventh place at 394. The Titans were led by Ashley Hilderley with an 80 and Anna McClure scoring an 81. Logan Bentley shot a 78 to lead the Golden Eagles. Napoleon freshman Anna McCubbins shot an 80 and is tied with Hilderley for fourth place individually and Bentley is in third place. McClure is tied for ninth place individually. The top 10 in each division earn a medal and all-state considerations. 

Division 2 Jackson at Forest Akers West: Natalie Kulka of Jackson is in eighth place individually following an 81 on Friday. The top 10 in each division earn a medal and all-state considerations.
