Grass Lake 6, Jackson Christian 1: The Warriors led 4-1 at the end of the first half on goals by Tyler Chizek, Zander Stormont, Ben Eros, and Max Goebel. Jonathan Locke scored the only goal for the Royals.

Michigan Center 3, Quincy 1: Noah Wisniewski had two goals for MCHS, and Spencer Berkeypile added one in the Cardinals’ win. Hunter Clemons finished with eight saves in goal for Michigan Center (2-4). The Cardinals are riding a modest two-game winning streak.

Grass Lake Invitational: Teams currently in the Cascades Conference got a look at what next year may look like. Columbia Central – new to the Cascades in 2023-2024 – won the Grass Lake Invitational on Monday at Hills’ Heart of the Lakes Golf Course. The Golden Eagles scored 373, Grass Lake was second with 391, Hanover-Horton shot 422, East Jackson placed fourth with 428, Napoleon was fifth scoring 432, and Michigan Center was sixth with 441. CCHS golfer Logan Bentley earned medalist honors with a 75, Anna McCubbins of Napoleon was second with 82, Grass Lake golfer Rylie Raehtz shot an 86, and Michigan Center golfers Kylie McKee and Jessica Swihart shot 89 and 94 respectively.

Boys tennis
Lumen Christi 8, Coldwater 0: Noah Lee at No. 3 singles, Alex Wheeler/Luke Dumont at No. 3 doubles, and Boyer Zimmerman/Holden Luce at No. 4 doubles won three-set wins for the Titans.

Western 8, Northwest 0: The Panthers won a battle of unbeatens in the Interstate-8 Conference.
