Onsted 4, Columbia Central 0: Quinn Hiram threw a two-hitter to earn the win against Columbia Central.

Concord 10, Bronson 1: The Yellow Jackets easily won game one 10-1. Game two was suspended with the score 6-all as Concord scored four times in the last inning to tie the contest.

Softball

Columbia Central 16, Onsted 1: Brook-Lynn Hills finished with three hits and four RBIs for the Golden Eagles. Bri Boone also finished with three hits for CCHS.

Columbia Central 16, Onsted 0: The Golden Eagles tagged Onsted for 13 runs in the first inning in the three-inning game. Abby Keller recorded two hits and knocked in three runs, Ava Lyke finished with three hits, and Kelsey Faucz had two hits and two RBIs for CCHS. Tamia Whayne earned the win on the mound for Columbia Central.

Lansing Eastern 18, Jackson 4

Jackson 7, Lansing Eastern 5: Jackson earned its first win of the season with the home victory.

Bath 8, Lumen Christi 3: The Titans recorded 11 hits but stranded 10 runners in the home loss. Ava Cumberworth finished with three hits and Emily Rogers, Lily Ganton, and Bree Okoniewski each recorded two hits for Lumen Christi.

Bath 22, Lumen Christi 1: The Titans could only muster three hits in the nightcap.

Springport 20, Homer 4: Brenna Crittenden had four hits – including a pair of triples – in the Spartans’ win. Rachel Potter also finished with three hits for SHS.

Homer 16, Springport 5: The Spartans recorded only two hits in the loss.

Boys track and field

Hudson 108, Morenci 98, Pittsford 87, Jackson Prep 34, Waldron 20: Royce Baltimore was second in the shot put (36-3.75) and Dheyton Smith placed second in the long jump (18-10) for Jackson Prep.

Hanover-Horton at Hillsdale: Winners for Hanover-Horton in the tri-meet with Jonesville and Hillsdale included Graham Gumper in the 100-meter dash (11.7); Austin Brown in the 400-meter dash (54.28); and Landen Boulis won the 1,600-meter run (4:56). No scores were reported in the meet.

Girls track and field

Hudson 119, Pittsford 113.5, Morenci 103.5, and Jackson Prep 10: Olivia Ortell of Jackson Prep finished second in the 800-meter run (2:46).

Hanover-Horton at Hillsdale Tri-meet: Winners for Hanover-Horton in the tri-meet at Hillsdale with Jonesville were Sophia Reynolds in the 800-meter run (2:34); Kennedy Bugbee in the 1,600-meter run (6:44); the 400-meter relay team for Hanover-Horton (54.93) and 1,600-meter relay team (5:00); and Tracy Ackley in the shot (29-1) and the discus (79-11). No scores were reported in the meet.

Boys golf

Cascades Conference at Lakeland: Hanover-Horton High School won the first Cascades Conference jamboree with a four-man total of 162. Grass Lake was second (188), Napoleon was third (188, lost in tiebreaker), Michigan Center 198, Manchester 209, Addison 258, and Vandercook Lake and East Jackson did not post enough scores for a team result. The Comets posted four of the top five scores as Brady Applegate carded a 39, and Rider Pickering and Travis Drennan scored 40s. Grass Lake golfer Jack Beck also posted a 40.

Northwest 169, Madison 175, Onsted 185: J.J. Miller scored a 40 and Jake Brafford finished with a 42 for the Mounties.

Chelsea 158, Western 185: Hayden Kim shot a 43 and Eric Bonser finished with a 44 for Western.

Girls tennis

Jackson 5, Ypsilanti Lincoln 3: Ypsilanti Lincoln couldn’t keep up with the Jones’ in the match Tuesday against Jackson. Megan Jones, Lauren Jones, and Olivia Jones earned singles wins for the Vikings at Nos. 1, 2, and 4 respectively. Elena Curtis/Samantha Whitaker won at No. 3 doubles and Avery White/Ryan Ehlert won at No. 4 doubles for Jackson.
