Baseball

Columbia Central 12, Concord 7: The Golden Eagles scored eight times in the fourth inning to pull ahead. Chase Dukate knocked in three runs and Conor Rentfrow, Ryan Whipple, and Nick Wilding each had a pair of RBIs for CCHS. Levi Raymond and Dustin Hamilton each had a pair of RBIs for Concord in the contest. 

Columbia Central 9, Concord 8: The game was stopped after four innings with CCHS leading 9-8. Ryan Hammond hit a home run and Tyler Ladd knocked in four runs for CCHS. Dustin Hamilton had a pair of hits and knocked in three runs for Concord. 

Lumen Christi 10, Western 4: Jack LaPorte, Ben Parrott, and Ethan Wagner each had two hits for the Panthers. 

Lumen Christi 8, Western 4: Caden Oliver hit a three-run homer to tie the game for Western early in the contest.  

Jackson 19, Everett 12: The Vikings scored in every inning against Lansing Everett. Kaspar Haehnle recorded three hits and knocked in four runs in the contest for Jackson. 

Jackson 19, Everett 4: Connor Bush, Cooper Alger, and Caden Bayer each knocked in three run for the Vikings. Jackson is 3-1 overall for the season. 

Northwest 11, Marshall 10: JR Morrow finished with four hits and Lonzy Robinson tallied three hits for Northwest. Gage Race earned the pitching win with 10 strikeouts.

Northwest 3, Marshall 2: Easton Nietzke had the game-winning hit for Northwest – the second of the night for him. JR Morrow finished with two hits and Will Herman struck out four batters on the mound for Northwest. 

Softball

Columbia Central 8, Concord 5: Ava Lyke hit a home run as the Golden Eagles exploded for seven runs in the sixth inning. Brooke-Lynn Hills finished with three hits for CCHS. Iyla Week finished with three hits to lead Concord.

Columbia Central 19, Concord 4: Rylee Knapp had a huge game for CCHS with a home run and six RBIs. Brooke-Lynn Hills also recorded two hits and six RBIs for the Golden Eagles (6-2). Madisyn Barrett finished with two hits and Cieara Barrett knocked in two runs for the Yellow Jackets. 

Western 10, Lumen Christi 0: Western High School pitcher Hailey Whisman struck out 12-of-17 batters faced in the contest. Peyton Budd finished with three hits and three RBIs and Kenadee Golas, Shaunicy Hendricks, and Abby Nieswender each finished with a pair of hits for Western. Lily Ganton and Emma Smiley each had hits for the Titans. 

Western 12, Lumen Christi 1: Shaunicy Hendricks finished with three hits and Peyton Budd, Abby Nieswender, Alivia Hall and Hailey Whisman each finished with a pair of hits for the Panthers. Whisman earned a pair of wins in the doubleheader for Western. Bree Okoniewski and Mallory Arcaro recorded hits for Lumen Christi. 

Marshall 11, Northwest 4: Ari Good hit a home run and Ava Golightly and Mollie Robinson each recorded a pair of hits for the Mounties. 

Marshall 21, Northwest 7: Ava Golightly finished with a pair of hits and a walk for Northwest (0-4). 

Girls soccer

Lenawee Christian 6, Michigan Center 0: Abbie Hess had 14 saves in the game for Michigan Center. 

Springport 4, Northwest 3

Boys golf

Monroe 186, Jackson 195: Jacob England finished with a 46 and Drew Blood and Carsyn Barkholz each shot 49s for Jackson. 

Girls tennis

Columbia Central 5, Milan 3: The Golden Eagles won three-of-four singles’ matches in a home event Thursday. Iliana Fowle, Lily Ellison, and Ashley Yang earned wins at Nos. 2-4 for CCHS (2-0-2). 

Monroe 7, Jackson 1: Julia Hastings earned the only point for the Vikings with a win at No. 3 singles. Jackson is now 1-1 on the season.
