Addison 11, Columbia Central 4: Kelsey Fausz and Bri Boone each recorded two hits for CCHS. The Golden Eagles are 7-3 overall for the season.
Hartland 10, Northwest 0: Izzy Rogers had the only hit of the game for the Mounties (0-6).
Hartland 10, Northwest 2: Campbell Kloack and Mollie Robinson each had a pair of hits for Northwest in the loss.
Springport 15, Climax-Scotts 3: Rebekkah Betz finished with three hits and four RBIs and Madeline Maher tallied four hits and three RBIs for Springport. Areya Dean earned the pitching win.
Springport 10, Climax-Scotts 0: Kelsey Speer earned the shutout with eight strikeouts for Springport. Rebekkah Betz finished with three hits Chloe Speer knocked in three runs for SHS.
Boys track and field
Napoleon Invitational: Napoleon High School edged Onsted 98-92 at the Friday night invitational. Hanover-Horton was third (80.2), Lumen Christi finished sixth (48.5), Columbia Central was eighth (43.2), Michigan Center placed 10th (23.7), Northwest finished 11th (17.5), and East Jackson finished 13th (15). Local Jackson County winners were Hudson Cooper from Northwest in the 400-meter dash (52.87); Austin Brown of Hanover-Horton won the 800-meter run (2:04); Rogan Melling of Hanover-Horton won the 1,600-meter run (4:35) and the 3,200-meter run (9:56); Holden Van Poppel of Napoleon won the 110-meter hurdles (15.37) and the 300-meter hurdles (43.6); Napoleon won the 800-meter relay (1:33) with Haden McLain, Lionel Campbell, Van Poppel, and Cooper Wyers; the Comets won the 3,200-meter relay (8:40) with Andrew Fielder, Melling, Landen Boulis, and Brown; Broden Steinke of Columbia Central won the shot put (43-4); and Von Poppel won the long jump (21-3) for his fourth victory of the night for the Pirates.
Jackson at Chelsea Relays: Jackson High School won the freshman/sophomore 400-meter relay with a time of 46.42 seconds. The team was Cyron Stamper, Blair Pipen, Charles Johnson, and Amaurion Moore. Individually, Tyler Selby was second in the long jump (19-10.75) for the Vikings.
Western, Springport at Olivet Relays: Western finished fourth and Springport seventh overall in the relay event. Western won the 4X300 freshman/sophomore relay in 2:43 with Jayden Willis, Jackson Jones, Noah Berdiner, and Jackson Barnes; the Panthers also won the shuttle relay (hurdles) in 1:08 with Brady Plate, Lucas Inosencio, William Melton, and Titan Parker; Inosencio won the pole vault (12-6); and Josh Veneziano won the high jump (6-4) for the Panthers. Patrick Culbreth finished fourth in the discus (112-11.5) for Springport.
Girls track and field
Napoleon Invitational: Onsted High School won the event with 97 points and Lumen Christi finished second scoring 67 points. Hanover-Horton was fourth (53), Napoleon finished right behind the Comets (52.4), Columbia Central placed eighth (47), East Jackson was 10th (31), Northwest finished 13th (27), and Michigan Center was 15th (4.2). Local Jackson County winners were Alyssa Budd of Napoleon in the 100-meter dash (13.04); Rylie Aylesworth of Columbia Central won the 200-meter dash (27.6); Madison Osterberg of Lumen Christi won the 1,600-meter run (5:05); Lumen Christi won the 3,200-meter relay (10:02) with Sydney Fazekas, Macy Fazekas, Layla Lopes, and Osterberg; Mara Mitchell of Northwest took first in the high jump (5-3); Addisyn Rudd of East Jackson won the pole vault (8-6); and Budd of Napoleon took first in the long jump (16-10.5).
Jackson at Chelsea Relays: Jackson High School won the freshman/sophomore relay with a time of 55.54. The team consisted of Amari Johnson, Jayla Estelle, London Brown, and Shaniah Mohead. Individually, Keiyera Johnson won the long jump (14-9.75) for the Vikings.
Western, Springport at Olivet Relays: Western finished fourth and Springport seventh overall in the relay event at Olivet. Kayda Herrick won the high jump (5-0) and Bayli Stewart took first in the long jump (16-3) for Western. Kaylee Kopulos was third (100-3.5) and Hope Overweg finished fourth (93-5) in the discus for Springport.
Girls soccer
Columbia Central 5, Dundee 1: The Golden Eagles are now 2-1-1 on the season following the road win. Alyssa Stewart and Lydia Stewart each contributed two goals while senior Jaden Bates chipped in the final tally for CCHS.
Lumen Christi 2, Leslie 1: The Titans won a non-conference match on the road Friday night.
Boys golf
Coldwater Invitational: Lumen Christi Catholic High School finished fourth (328), Western tied for seventh (334), and Jackson placed 12th at the Coldwater Invitational Friday. The Titans were led by Nash Hanchett and Charlie Saunders with 80s; Western golfer Hayden Kim shot a 79 and Eric Bonser finished with an 83; and Jackson’s Jacob England finished eighth individually with a 77.
Napoleon at Ida Invitational: Napoleon finished 10th with a total of 105. Jacob Beer and Ben Baker shot 84s for the Pirates playing in a Stableford Points System.
