Bronson 4, Hanover-Horton 3: The Comets fell in the opening round of the Chris Brian Memorial Tournament at home on Saturday. Blaise Uphaus finished with two hits and two RBIs for the Comets. Luke Soper struck out nine batters in four innings pitched for Hanover-Horton.
Hanover-Horton 9, Charlotte 4: The Comets scored six times in the first two innings to pull ahead of Charlotte. Hunter Fox recorded a pair of hits and knocked in two runs for Hanover-Horton. Graham Gumper and Travis Drennan each had two hits for the Comets (3-1).
Jackson 27, Lansing Everett 2: The bats were hot for the Vikings as they notched 22 hits in the contest Friday afternoon. Jacob Nichols and Nathaniel Hobbs each had four hits in the win. Michael Foust had four RBIs and Michael Kirby had three RBIs for Jackson (6-0).
Jackson 11, Lansing Everett 1: Nathaniel Hobbs, Michael Foust, Jacob Nichols, and Steven DeVaughn had multiple hits for the Vikings in the win. Foust earned the win on the mound striking out six batters.
Softball
Columbia Central 18, Monroe Jefferson 2: Ava Lyke hit a home run and knocked in four runs for CCHS in the blowout win at the Monroe Jefferson Softball Invitational. Abby Keller had two hits and knocked in three runs for the Golden Eagles. Gianna Evans earned the pitching win with six strikeouts in four innings of work.
Taylor 16, Columbia Central 14: The Golden Eagles’ seven-game winning streak came to an end in a wild contest. The two teams combined for 19 runs in the first two innings of the tournament game at Monroe Jefferson. Abby Keller had four hits and Kenadee Tompkins recorded three hits and three RBIs for Columbia Central.
Monroe Jefferson 10, Columbia Central 1: The Golden Eagles could only muster one hit in the rematch.

Hanover-Horton 11, New Lothrop 5: Dani Riggs hit a pair of home runs in the Chris Brian Memorial Tournament game at home on Saturday. She knocked in six runs in the win.
Northwest 6, Escanaba 3: The Mounties won game one of the Three Rivers Tournament against Escanaba. Campbell Kloack hit a home run and knocked in three runs. Nevaeh Ingram struck out 18 batters and gave up only three hits in the contest for NWHS.
Northwest 18, Three Rivers 10: Campbell Kloack hit two home runs and drove in seven runs as the Mounties won a slugfest at the Three Rivers Tournament. Ava Golightly recorded three hits for Northwest (10-0).
Hanover-Horton 12, Sand Creek 1: Lexi Schuette hit a home run and knocked in four runs for the Comets in the Chris Brian Memorial Softball Tournament at home on Saturday. Alexyn DeBois also recorded three hits and two RBIs for Hanover-Horton.
Hanover-Horton 13, Lox Norrix 3: The Comets earned the title at the Chris Brian Memorial Softball Tournament on Saturday with the win. Mayson Scally had three hits and knocked in three runs and Kenna Easter added two hits and three runs. Alexis Flint earned the pitching win with seven strikeouts for Hanover-Horton (5-0).
Woodhaven 5, Grass Lake 4: Emily Guthrie had two hits in three at bats for the Warriors.
Woodhaven 5, Grass Lake 3: Grass Lake was led by freshman Bree Salts with a home run and three hits in the game.
