Baseball

Addison 11, Vandercook Lake 1: Drew Spink limited the Jayhawks to three hits in the win for Addison. 

Onsted 6, Columbia Central 1: Blake Hoskins and Ryan Whipple had two hits apiece for Columbia Central. 

Onsted 13, Columbia Central 3: Onsted scored 10 times in the first three innings. Columbia Central (3-11) could only muster four hits in the loss.  

Grass Lake 4, Michigan Center 1: Brayden Lape struck out 13 batters for Grass Lake (5-5) and knocked in two runs at the plate. The Cardinals had only three hits in the game. 

Napoleon 13, Manchester 1: Jason Negus struck out 10 batters on the mound and finished with three hits at the plate for Napoleon. Lucas Hankis had four hits and Gage Deland, Grant Bradley, Hartley Marvin, and Kyler Reason had two hits apiece for Napoleon.

Hanover-Horton 12, East Jackson 2: Drew Fedore had three hits and knocked in three runs for the Comets. Three HHHS pitchers limited East Jackson to one hit. Hanover-Horton is 8-4 with the win. 

Jackson 15, Ypsilanti 3: Kasper Haehnle struck out seven batters in five innings pitched for Jackson. Michael Kirby had a pair of hits for Jackson (9-3). 

Softball

Grass Lake 16, Michigan Center 1: Olivia Turner had four hits and knocked in six runs for Grass Lake. Rylee Fitzpatrick had four hits and Emily Guthrie finished with two hits and four RBIS. The top three hitters finished with 10 hits and 10 RBIs for Grass Lake (8-3-1). Mady Whipple had a pair of hits for Michigan Center (2-6). 

Grass Lake 15, Michigan Center 0: Laney Brown pitched a one-hitter for Grass Lake, striking out six batters. Olivia Turner, Rylee Fitzpatrick, Bree Salts, Brown, Emily Brown, and Emily Guthrie all had multiple hits in the game for Grass Lake.  

Napoleon 15, Manchester 5: Alyssa Budd and Emily Omey each had five hits in the win for Napoleon. Karson Fairbanks knocked in six runs for Napoleon on three hits. 

Napoleon 10, Manchester 3: Bailey Vickery hit a home run and Kaylee recorded three hits for Napoleon. Raye Burke earned the pitching win for Napoleon (9-0) with nine strikeouts. 

Hanover-Horton 10, East Jackson 4: Mayson Scally had three hits and Amierah Jarrett knocked in three runs for the Comets in the win. Emily Uyttenhove had two hits for East Jackson.  

Hanover-Horton 13, East Jackson 9: Lexie Schuette had two hits and knocked in two runs for the Comets. Kenna Easter and Lilly Wooster knocked in two runs for Hanover-Horton (8-4). Savanna Curey knocked in two runs for East Jackson (7-9). 

Boys track and field

Columbia Central at Hudson tri-meet: Columbia Central defeated Hudson, 69-62, and Blissfield, 108-15 at Hudson High School. Jacob Walker did the triple winning the 800-meter run (2:20), the 1,600-meter run (4:38), and the 3,200-meter run (9:57). Ethan Senkewitz won the 110-meter hurdles (21.1), Ty Farmer took first in the 300-meter hurdles (51.2), CCHS won the 400-meter relay (48.0) with Logan Fish, Braiden Berro, Cody Richardson, and Chase Strasser, the same team won the 800-meter relay for CCHS (1:42), Berro won the discus (92-11), and Richardson won the high jump (5-6) for the Golden Eagles. 

Bronson, Reading at Concord: Concord defeated Bronson and Reading at home on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets won 11-of-17 events in the tri-meet. Omarion Culliver won the discus (118-0) and the 110-meter hurdles (18-0) and Mekhi Wingfield won the high jump (6-0) and the long jump (20-4) for Concord. 

Springport home tri-meet: Springport lost to Union City, 89-24, and Quincy, 84-23. Dylan Sanford won the 110-meter hurdles (17.61), the 300-meter hurdles (43.99), and Springport won the 800-meter relay (1:39.26) with a team of David Becker, Elijah Dyer, Ckyler Jones, and Gage Rohde. 

Girls track and field

Columbia Central at Hudson tri-meet: Columbia Central lost to Hudson, 76-46, but defeated Blissfield 65-52. Rylie Aylesworth won the 100-meter dash (13.9) and the 200-meter dash (28.9) for CCHS. Kiara Hall took first in the 300-meter hurdles (1:00) for Columbia Central.  

Bronson, Reading at Concord: Reading and Bronson defeated Concord at home on Wednesday. Karlee Gamet won the discus (78-11) and the long jump (13-8.5). Concord won the 3,200-meter relay (12:29) with a team of Caitlin Wright, Kylee Weeks, Savanah Smith, and Riley Adams. 

Springport home tri-meet: The Spartans lost to Union City, 64-27, and Quincy, 85.67-8.33. Brenna Crittenden finished second in the long jump (13-7.75) for Springport. 

Girls soccer

Columbia Central 3, Blissfield 2: Alyssa Stewart, Mia Taylor and Macie Mullins scored goals for the Golden Eagles (6-2). 

Michigan Center 3, Grass Lake 3

Jackson Christian 10, Hanover-Horton 2: The Royals earned its first win of the season with a flurry of goals against the Comets. 

Boys golf

SEC at Jackson: Jackson High School finished third at a Southeastern Conference quad meet at Cascades Golf Course with a 188. Saline won with a four-man total of 154, Monroe shot 166, and Ypsilanti Lincoln finished with 221. Colin Norton shot a 41 and Andrew Covalle finished with a 44 to lead Jackson. 

Girls tennis

Columbia Central 8, Onsted 0: Sydnee Miller, Alana Knoebel, Emma Keane, and Iliana Fowle earned singles’ wins for CCHS (4-1) at Nos. 1-4 respectively.
