Dexter 10, Jackson 0: Cooper Alger recorded two of the three hits in the game for Jackson.
Lansing Catholic 9, Lumen Christi 0: The Titans were limited to four hits in the game.
Lansing Catholic 8, Lumen Christi 1: Gabe King finished with three hits for Lumen Christi in the contest.
Softball
Bishop Cup Lumen Christi: The Titans lost 4-3 in game one as Allison O’Dowd finished with three hits and Emma Smiley added two hits. Lansing Catholic won the tournament with a 6-4 win against the Titans. Bella Wrozek struck out six batters in seven innings pitched and Bree Okoniewski finished with two hits for LCCHS (8-8).
Napoleon at Leslie Invitational: The Pirates defeated Haslett 12-1 in the opening game but lost 10-1 to Leslie in the championship game. Alyssa Budd finished with four hits and four RBIs and Maggie Beer added three hits for Napoleon in the win over Haslett. Budd had the only hit for the Pirates against Leslie.
Girls track and field
Leslie Invitational: Columbia Central High School finished second to Addison (98-78), Lumen Christi was fourth (68), and East Jackson finished eighth (27) at the Leslie Invitational Saturday. Individual winners included Rylie Aylesworth of Columbia Central won the 100-meter dash (13.17) and the 200-meter dash (27.08); Madison Osterberg took first place in the 800-meter run (2:16) and the 3,200-meter run (10:50); the Titans won the 3,200-meter relay (11:00); and Mariah Kerley of East Jackson won the shot put (33-10) and the discus (96-2).
Boys track and field
Leslie Invitational: Lumen Christi finished third (57), East Jackson was fourth (55), and Columbia Central placed sixth (53) at the Leslie Invitational Saturday. Individual winners were Alex Pastrioza of Lumen Christi in the 200-meter dash (23.90); Michael Allen of East Jackson in the 1,600-meter run (4:48) and 3,200-meter run (10:22); Xavier Gallant of Lumen Christi won the 110-meter hurdles (17.47); and Columbia Central won the 800-meter relay (1:35.77).
Girls soccer
Bishop Cup at Lumen Christi: The Titans lost game one of the Bishop Cup at home 2-1 over Flint Powers. Camy Crandall scored the only goal for LCCHS. Lumen Christi won 1-0 over Lansing Catholic as Crandall scored the winning goal.
Michigan Center 2, Onsted 1: Cecelia Scaife and Hannah Lasinski scored goals for the Cardinals in the Onsted Invitational. Abbie Hess finished with nine saves in net for MCHS.
Adrian 6, Michigan Center 0: The Cardinals lost in the championship match as Abbie Hess recorded 11 saves in net.
Springport 2, Zion Christian 1: The Spartans won the game during the Barry County Christian Invitational Saturday.
Western 2, Clinton 1: The Panthers earned a win at Clinton High School.
Girls tennis
Lumen Christi at St. Francis: Lumen Christi finished second at the Battle of the Bay near Traverse City. Maggie Page won the No. 1 singles title going 3-0 on the day, earning the championship award for the day. Traverse City St. Francis won the event with 18 points and Lumen Christi scored 13.
Western Tri-meet: Western High School defeated Haslett, 6-2, but lost to Williamston 5-3. Becca Brushaber/Anna Wilcox and Salena Vo/Leslie Kinder went undefeated at Nos. 3 and 4 doubles respectively. Coach Brad Wilcox thanks parents who spent four hours getting the courts ready after rain Friday.
