Volleyball

East Jackson at Jackson Christian: Jackson Christian earned a four-game win at home against the Trojans, 25-14, 25-20, 22-25, 25-15. Caitlin Anderson led JCS with eight aces, six digs, and seven assists and Julaina McCombs finished with five kills.

Michigan Center at Northwest: The Cardinals defeated Northwest High School on Wednesday 25-23, 28-26, and 25-19. Olivia Shown recorded five kills and three aces, Sam Wynn finished with 26 digs and five kills, and Kennedy Kelley tallied 24 assists for the Cardinals. Jillian Osterberg led the Mounties from the service line, Teja Kapp was tops in kills, and Katelyn Kennedy finished with the most digs. 

Western defeated Fowler: Western High School defeated Fowler 25-23, 27-25, 23-27, and 25-14. The match was delayed due to weather warnings in the area. 

Napoleon at Onsted Quad: The Pirates were defeated by the Manchester  23-25, 21-25 and the Onsted 25-23, 21-25, 13-25.  Leading the Pirates were Junior Alyssa Budd with 32 service points, 23 digs and nine kills. Junior Momo Hampton contributed 22 service points and 32 assists. Samantha Conaway contributed 17 kills, Emme VanPoppel recorded nine kills, and Elisse Omey had four solo blocks for Napoleon (0-2).  

Soccer

Michigan Center 9, Jonesville 0: Carter Kosmet scored four goals, and Nikolas Kosmet finished with four assists for the Cardinals. Daylen Hinkle scored two goals and Reid Scaife, Joe Counter, and Zach Levy each scored goals. Michael Van Riper saved three shots in goal for MCHS (3-0).

Hillsdale Academy 4, Grass Lake 3:  Wesley Good scored two goals and Dylan Griffor recorded one for the Warriors (1-1). Hillsdale Academy is ranked in the top 10 in Division 4 soccer. 

Columbia Central 0, Ida 0: The game was called late in the first half due to excessive heat. 

Girls golf

Jackson at SEC meet: Jackson High School finished second at the Southeastern tri-meet at Washtenaw Country Club. The Vikings finished with a four-man total of 214.  Natalie Kulka shot a 47 and Felicia Huffman finished with a 52 for Jackson. Ann Arbor Pioneer won the event with 173 and Ann Arbor Huron was third at 242.
