Volleyball

Columbia Central at Dundee: Columbia Central finished 3-1 on the night with wins over Hudson, Dundee, and Ida. The Golden Eagles lost to Hillsdale in three sets. Jaden Bates finished with 27 kills and Allie Jarchow tallied 23 kills and eight blocks for CCHS. Berlynn Lyke dished 58 assists and Kenzie Duncan recorded 21 digs for Columbia Central. 

Michigan Center 3, Northwest 0: The Cardinals swept the Mounties 25-21, 25-14, and 25-19. Sam Wynn finished with 15 kills, Jordyn Mees dished 18 assists, and Julia Reynolds tallied four aces for the Cardinals. Teja Kapp had seven kills and nine service points and Jillian Osterberg and Ava Golightly recorded six assists each for Northwest. 

Boys cross country

Pittsford Invitational: Concord High School finished fourth (68 points) and Jackson Prep & Early College was fifth at Pittsford. Diego BoCole of JPEC finished third overall in 18 minutes, 53 second. Concord runners Adair Artis (19:12), Isaac Waldron (19:28) and Cole Bates (19:42) all finished in the top 10 with fifth, seventh and ninth place finishes respectively. 

Girls cross country

Pittsford Invitational: Concord High School finished third (63 points) and Jackson Prep & Early College was fourth (73). Four local runners finished in the top 10 as Cieara Barrett of Concord was third (22:26), Olivia Ortel of JPEC placed sixth (24:37), teammate Kariana Carpenter finished eighth (24:58) and Concord runner Riley Adams was 10th (25:12).  

Boys soccer

Clinton 6, Columbia Central 0: The Golden Eagles lost a home Lenawee County Athletic Association contest on Wednesday. CCHS is now 2-2-1 on the season. 

Jackson 1, Northwest 1: Jackson and Northwest high schools tied at NWHS on Wednesday. The Mounties are now 0-3-1 while Jackson is 0-1-1 overall for the season. 

Girls golf

Columbia Central jamboree: Columbia Central finished two strokes behind Lenawee Christian in an Independent Golf League jamboree at Clark Lake Golf Course. LCHS shot 181 and the Golden Eagles shot 183. Concord shot 219 at the event, finishing third. Logan Bentley tied for medalist honors with a 40 and Marrisa Berro shot a career-best 44 for CCHS. Concord was led by Hannah Stimer with a 51.

Boys tennis

Western tri-meet: Western High School defeated Grand Rapids Christian 7-1. The Panthers swept the singles matches with wins by Seth Keana, Ryan Perkins, Noah McCollum, and Caleb Bahlau at Nos. 1-4 respectively. The Panthers pulled out a 5-3 win over Forest Hills Eastern with an exciting 15-13 win by Hudson Valentine and Joshua Veneziano at No. 4 doubles in the third set.
