Cross country
Becky Norman from Napoleon High School and area runners will meet near the Ella Sharp Park 5K finish line at 9 a.m. today – rain or shine. The group will have a few Jensen Invitational shirts runners can sign and I’ll have a card for the coaches. When we have everyone there, we’ll take a few minutes to give coaches a chance to talk. “My personal thoughts are this is meant to show our support to Oxford’s cross country teams but also how running and teams can help us work through difficult times,” Norman said in a press release. “If anyone else (coaches and runners) would like to say something they will be given the opportunity to do so.” Afterwards the group will go on a short run (not a race) together, take a group picture, and then people can leave as needed. Information will be provided on how people can make voluntary donations to reliable organizations who are helping Oxford.
