Grass Lake 64, Michigan Center 34: The Warriors jumped out to a 17-4 lead in the first quarter.

Morenci 58, Vandercook Lake 7: The Jayhawks fell in their first contest of the year.  

Wrestling

Addison Quad Meet: Hanover-Horton defeated East Jackson (45-36) and Vandercook Lake (60-6). Drew Swihart (120), A.J. Fielder (126), David Fielder (132), Danni Swihart (144), Josh Frailey (157), Reed Matthews (215), and Gaven Teller (285) earned pins for Hanover-Horton against East Jackson. Stephen Hertzfelt (113) and Brock Davidson (150) earned pins against the Comets.  Trenton Mosley (113), Drew Swihart (120), Mason Floros (144), Teller (215), and Matthews (285) earned pins for HHHS against the Jayhawks. 

 

Grass Lake, Napoleon at Michigan Center: Napoleon High School defeated Michigan Center and Grass Lake by the score of 57-15 in both matches. Aiden Bocanegra (113), Joey Donahee (144), Mason Roth (157), Zack Bamm (165), Bart Laretz (190), and Dallas Smith (215) earned pins against Michigan Center. Ashton Bristow scored a pin for the Cardinals at 120. Logan Hartman earned a pin for Napoleon at 132 against Grass Lake. Wesley Edie of Grass Lake pinned his Napoleon opponent at 120 pounds.

Boys bowling

Western 29, Jackson 1: Jacob Martinez rolled a 464 series, Austin Ball finished with 438, Tobyn LePeak bowled a 222 game, and Buster Marr shot a 209 game for Western.  

Manchester 22, Hanover-Horton 8: Jack Kittel rolled a 390 series and Joe Davis finished with a 385 for the Comets. 

Grass Lake 28, Vandercook Lake 2: Max Schafran led Grass Lake with games of 194 and 190 and Cayden DeWitt bowled games of 171 and 202 for 373 at JAX60. Dayton Rodriguez bowled a 425 series for the Jayhawks. 

Girls bowling

Jackson 18.5, Western 11.5: Gabby Semenckuk rolled a 273 series and Madason McDonald finished with a 269 series for the Panthers. 

Hanover-Horton 26, Manchester 4: Makenzie Lafountain bowled a 319 series and Kaytie Warren rolled a 313 series for Hanover-Horton in the win. 

Grass Lake 17, Vandercook Lake 13: Abbey Hunt rolled a season-high 165 for Vandercook Lake.

G.R. Catholic Central 4, Lumen Christi 1 

Jackson United 3, Mattawan 3: Aiden Chappell scored two goals and Easton Neitzke scored one goal and dished one assist for Jackson United. Nick Nau stopped 37 shots for JU in goal.
