Shot Clock Classic at Spring Arbor

Lenawee Christian 66, Concord 56: The Yellow Jackets trailed by eight points at halftime but pulled within one point twice in the third quarter in the Shot Clock Classic at Spring Arbor University. Mekhi Wingfield scored 25 points and Jordan Medellin added 14 for Concord. Jaxon Salenbien scored 29 points to lead LCHS (6-2). Concord is now 5-3 for the season.

Western 58, Olivet 49: The Panthers improved to 6-3 on the season with a win against Olivet at the Shot Clock Classic at Spring Arbor University Thursday. Maverick Hammond scored 17 points, Gibson French added 16 points, and Ben Parrott finished with 11 points for Western. Bol Lincoln scored 17 points to lead Olivet.

Northwest 78, Hanover-Horton 73 (2OT): The best game of the night featured two teams headed in opposite directions. Northwest was 2-6 on the season while Hanover-Horton was riding a six-game winning streak. Duncan Moffitt of Northwest hit a 3-point basket as time expired in the first overtime sending the game into a second overtime. Jalen Jordan took over for the Mounties scoring 11 points in the second overtime. He finished with a game-high 36 points, Moffitt scored 21 points, and Josh Jordan added 18 points for NWHS. Hanover-Horton was led by Luke Soper with 30 points, Logan Blackledge scored 24 points, and Jerry Linabury added 12 points for Hanover-Horton (6-3).

Jackson 42, Napoleon 37: Jackson High School improved to 6-1 on the season with a low-scoring affair against Napoleon at Spring Arbor University’s Shot Clock Classic. Sherquan Wilson scored 16 points to lead the Vikings. Napoleon was led by DeVonta Habern with 11 points and Tyler Nall scoring 10 points for the Pirates (5-3).

Lumen Christi 72, Michigan Center 65: The Cardinals pulled within two points with less than three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter but that would be as close as they got. The Titans were led by Britton Hampton with 19 points, Kadale Williams was hot with the three-ball early in the game and finished with 16 points, and Luke Smith added 10 points. Michigan Center (6-2) was led by Hunter Clemons with 24 points and Tre Collins with 16 points.
Quincy 60, Vandercook Lake 20: The Jayhawks fell to 2-6 on the season with the non-conference loss in the Quincy Invitational. Vandercook Lake will play in the consolation final Friday at noon at Quincy High School.
Girls basketball
Lumen Christi 31, Monroe 29: The Titans improved to 7-0 on the season with the non-conference win at Carleton Airport Thursday.
Grand Blanc 58, Columbia 32: Jaylen Lambka scored 19 points and Hailey Freshcorn added eight points for CCHS (3-2).
Wrestling
Springport 54, Olivet College 30: The Spartans earned a win over the host school in the six-team tournament. Rylinn Hale earned a pin a 150 pounds, Caleb Wendt also pinned his opponent at 175 pounds, and Eli Worth also earned a pin at 285 for Springport.
Swimming
Jackson at Zeeland Invitational: Jackson High School finished ninth with 95 points. Blake Hetherington won the 50-yard freestyle (22.19 seconds) and the 100-yard freestyle (48.98) for the Vikings.
