Boys Basketball

St. Philip 63, Jackson Christian 33: Isaac Lanham finished with 16 points and seven rebounds for the Royals. 

Jackson 79, Pinckney 55: The Vikings used a pressing defense to turn defense into offense at home Tuesday. The win evens its SEC record at 3-3. Sherquan Wilson scored 21 points, Koronnis Davis added 13 points and Tristen Cawthen finished with 10 points for Jackson (11-6). 

Lumen Christi 66, Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard 44: Luke Tropea finished with 17 points, Kasen Burgess added 13 points, and Gannon Shore tallied nine points for Lumen Christi (14-2). 

Northwest 63, Coldwater 45: The Mounties earned an Interstate-8 Conference win at home for its second consecutive win. 

Girls Basketball

Grass Lake 61, Columbia Central 55: Kate Starkey scored 27 points and Reese Lape added 13 points for Grass Lake. Jaylen Lambka scored 27 points and Cecelia Slat scored 14 points for CCHS. 

Concord 47, Quincy 30: The Yellowjackets got defensive on the road in Big Eight play. Hannah Stimer hit four 3-pointers on her way to 12 points and Bradie Lehman, Maria Stevens, and Grace Thorrez each added 10 points for Concord (11-3 overall, 7-1 Big 8). 

Hanover-Horton 52, East Jackson 26: Molly Soper led three players in double digits for Hanover-Horton scoring 18 points and eight rebounds. Maggie Soper scored 12 points and Morgan Kuhl added 10 points for the Comets. Mariah Kerley scored 13 points to lead EJHS. 

Pinckney 54, Jackson 29: The Vikings fell on the road in SEC play Tuesday night. 

St. Catherine 37, Lumen Christi 28: The Titans struggled to score on the road Tuesday. 

Michigan Center 65, Addison 34: The Cardinals celebrated senior night with a Cascades Conference victory. Samantha Wynn scored 18 points, McKynley Gaddy added 12 points and five steals, and Julia Reynolds finished with nine points and six rebounds for Michigan Center (16-1 overall). 

Coldwater 32, Northwest 25: The Mounties lost on the road in Interstate-8 Conference play in a low-scoring game. 

Springport 59, Union City 15: Springport scored early and often tallying 31 points in the first quarter at home. Every player scored for Springport in the victory. 

Competitive Cheer

Cascades Conference Final at East Jackson: Michigan Center earned the Cascades Conference title with a win at East Jackson jamboree Tuesday. The Cardinals finished with a three-round total of 743.38 and Hanover-Horton was second scoring 739.86. Columbia Central finished sixth (633), Grass Lake was seventh (588), Napoleon finished eighth (572), Vandercook Lake placed ninth (541), and East Jackson was 10th (461).

Columbia Central 19, Vandercook Lake 11

Napoleon 29, East Jackson 1: Reichen Clark finished with a 447 series and Ethan Rose finished with a 471 series to lead Napoleon. Carson Hough finished with a personal-best 200 game for the Pirates. 

Northwest 24, Western 6: The Mounties swept Western in contests at JAX 60 Tuesday. Bryce Thomas rolled a 359 series and Preston Weighman finished with a 179 game for Northwest. Western was led by John Prater with a 345 series. 

Jackson 28, Pinckney 2: The Vikings won on the road in SEC bowling Tuesday afternoon. 

Girls Bowling

Columbia Central 30, Vandercook Lake 0 

East Jackson 29, Napoleon 1: Sydney Gallagher rolled a 201 game for Napoleon. Tessa Wyngaert finished with a 294 series for East Jackson. 

Northwest 29, Western 1: Casey Jahr finished with a 390 series including a 210 game for the Mounties. Serissa Meyers also tallied a 384 series for Northwest. Western was led by Kiley Bieske with a 281 series and Ashlynn Kurtz added a 266 series.

Chelsea 3, Jackson United 1: Jackson United played solid but lost on the road Tuesday night. Jack Whyte scored the only goal for Jackson United with assists to Maddox Grimes and Cam Ronquillo.
