Boys basketball

Jackson 72, Ypsilanti 48: The Vikings improved to 12-4 with the road win on Tuesday. Savonn Campbell and Davion Westbrooks scored 11 points apiece for the Vikings. Twelve players scored in the game for Jackson. 

Clinton 56, Columbia Central 49: : Derek Sanders scored 20 points and dished four assists and Jordan Pewsey scored 12 points for CCHS.

Homer 63, Concord 35

Jackson Prep 73, Marshall Academy 44

Coldwater 52, Northwest 49: Josh Jordan scored 16 points and Colton Gowdy added 11 points for the Mounties. 

Western 66, Eaton Rapids 50: Cooper Johnston scored 15 points – all in the first half –  and six rebounds, Aidan Barrett finished with 13 points, and Maverick Hammond finished with 14 points and five assists for Western.

Girls basketball   

Grass Lake 73, Michigan Center 34: Sophia Allen scored eight points and dished five assists and  Aaralynn Tripp added eight points and four rebounds for the Cardinals. 

Jackson 48, Ypsilanti 34: Kiera Johnson and Leayah Pierce each scored 10 points in the Vikings’ home win. 

Jackson Christian 38, Climax-Scotts 24: Maggie Hollowood scored 18 points and Kayley McCollum finished with 12 points for Jackson Christian. 

Napoleon 53, Addison 22: Karson Fairbanks scored 16 points and Alyssa Budd tallied 10 points for the Pirates. 

Coldwater 57, Northwest 51: The Mounties lost its first Interstate-8 Conference game with the home loss. Both teams are now 9-1 in the conference. 

Competitive cheer

Cascades Conference final at East Jackson: Michigan Center won the conference jamboree with a score of 737 at East Jackson High School. Hanover-Horton finished second (664), Napoleon placed third (635), Vandercook Lake was fifth (601), and Grass Lake was sixth (554). 

Boys bowling

Grass Lake 28, East Jackson 2: Brice Sandoval finished with a 493 series and Max Schafran bowled a 493 series for Grass Lake. Steven Tripp rolled a 235 game and Gauge Parshall finished with a 226 game to lead East Jackson. 

Northwest 23, Lumen Christi 7: Kolbe Hamlin finished with a 413 series and Ryan Wenman rolled a 397 for the Mounties. Anthony Wetzel bowled a 184 game for Lumen Christi. 

Hanover-Horton 23, Vandercook Lake 7: Landon Murrell finished with a 346 series and Elijah Rodabaugh bowled a 317 series for the Comets. Dayton Rodriguez of Vandercook Lake finished with a 434 series against the Comets. 

Coldwater 16, Western 14: Jacob Martinez bowled a 384 series and Austin Ball rolled a 198 game for Western. 

Blissfield 18, Columbia Central 12: Keegan Lewis finished with a 211 game and David Bielby finished with a 189 for the Golden Eagles. 

Girls bowling

East Jackson 19, Grass Lake 11: Savanna Curey had a 158 game and Bree Baxter finished with a 153 to lead the Trojans. 

Northwest 28, Lumen Christi 2: Lacey Wenman rolled a 303 series and Kaylyn Blair bowled a 290 series for the Mounties. Jesse Rehberg finished with a 149 game for Lumen Christi. 

Hanover-Horton 28, Vandercook Lake 2: Kaytie Warren finished with a personal-best 232 game, Sophia Donders also had a personal best 203 game, and  Makenzie LaFountain bowled a 201 for Hanover-Horton. Abbie Hunt bowled a 194 to lead the Jayhawks. 

Coldwater 29, Western 1: Madason McDonald finished with a 139 game for Western. 

Columbia Central 27, Blissfield 3: Amber Johnson finished with a 346 series and Alexis Henry bowled a 165 game for CCHS. 

Gymnastics

Saline 130.175, Western 128.95: Lilly Heydenburg won the beam (8.5) and the floor exercise (8.5) for Western High School. 

Swimming

Adrian 93, Jackson 92: The Maples earned a close win in a battle of undefeated teams in the Southeastern Conference. Ty Northrup won the diving with a score of 198.85 in six dives.
