Boys basketball

Detroit Cass Tech 60, Jackson 39: Cayman Harris and Tavion Tanner scored nine points apiece for Jackson.  

Competitive cheer

Springport at Big Eight jamboree: Springport High School finished fourth with 524. Jonesville won the event with 627 at Bronson High School.  

Boys Bowling

Columbia Central 21.5, Hudson 8.5: Nikolas Raab finished with a 227 in game one and Caleb Gritzmaker finished with a 200. Brayden Steele rolled a 245 in game two, Gritzmaker rolled a 217, and Keegan Lewis finished with 204.  

Hanover-Horton 18, Vandercook 12: Camren Lackey rolled a 392 series and Colby LaRock finished with a 387 series for the Jayhawks. The Comets were led by  Jack Kittel with a  235 game, Layne Holda rolled a 223, Bryce Blackledge finished with a 217, and Ben Childs a 200. Hanover-Horton is 7-4 on the season. 

College Prep Tournament: Northwest High School won the Capital Area College Prep Tournament  by more than 400 pins on Sunday at City Limits in Mason. Ryan Wenman led NWHS with a three-game total of 573 to earn all-tournament honors. Cody Hall finished with 548, Shon Breslin rolled 541, and Logan Jahr finished with 540. 

Girls Bowling

Columbia Central 27, Hudson 3: Niya Holbert rolled a 341 series for the Golden Eagles and Shanna Dettloff rolled a 167 game.  

Hanover-Horton 28, Vandercook Lake 2: Mariah Rodrigues rolled a 302 series for the Jayhawks. Hanover-Horton was led by Lana Gilliland with a personal-high game 191 for a 339 series, Halle Curtis  bowled a 191 game, and Kaytie Warren finished with a 183 game. The Comet also bowled their best team game with an 805.

College Prep Tournament: Northwest High School finished fourth as a team on Sunday at City Limits in Mason in the Capital Area College Prep Tournament. Lacey Wenman finished with a 430 series for three games falling only 32 pins short of making the all-tournament team.
