Boys basketball

Blissfield 68, Columbia Central 56: The loss stops Columbia Central’s four-game winning streak in the Lenawee County Athletic Association. The Golden Eagles are 5-5 overall following the home loss. 

Tecumseh 54, Jackson 46: The Vikings went on a 7-0 to start the third quarter to take a brief lead. But Jackson could only score one more point in the quarter and trailed heading into the final quarter. Cayman Harris scored 10 points, Savonn Campbell finished with nine points, and Terrell White added eight points for Jackson (2-8). 

Jonesville 65, Springport 40: The Spartans are 0-9 on the season with the loss. 

Concord 51, Quincy 33: Concord is now 5-0 in the Big Eight Conference with the win. 

Girls basketball

Columbia Central 33, Blissfield 28: The Golden Eagles won a low-scoring affair on the road Tuesday. Tadassa Brown scored 17 points and Zoie Bamm finished with 10 points to lead Columbia Central (9-2). CCHS is on a six-game winning streak.  

Grass Lake 59, Manchester 32: Opponents in the Cascades Conference are averaging only 21.5 points per game against Grass Lake. 

Hanover-Horton 42, Napoleon 40: Natalie Krage scored 19 points and Olivianna Watkins added 12 points for the Comets in the win. Karson Fairbanks scored 14 points to lead the Pirates. 

Springport 63, Pennfield 44: Maddux Overweg scored 30 points and dished five assists and Ryann Locke added 25 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had nine assists for Springport (7-3).  Locke missed a quadruple-double by one assist and two steals. 

Detroit Edison 60, Western 47: Hillary Griffin scored 20 points and Alyna Lewis added 17 points for Western. The Panthers (11-1) suffered its first loss of the season. Detroit Edison is ranked No. 1 in Division 2 while the Panthers are ranked No. 5 in Division 1 in the latest Associated Press rankings. 

Tecumseh 61, Jackson 27: The Indians are now 13-0 on the season with the win.

Competitive cheer

Cascades jamboree at Michigan Center: The Cardinals continue to be the best team in the Cascades Conference with a home jamboree win on Tuesday. The Cardinals finished with 701, Addison scored 691, Hanover-Horton tallied 680, Vandercook scored 603, and Napoleon 537.  

Boys Bowling

Western defeated Lumen Christi: Jacob Martinez rolled a 201 game and Tobyn LePeak added a 197 game for Western. 

Marshall 17, Northwest 13: Cody Hall finished with a 417 series and Logan Jahr added a 400 series for the Mounties. Kolbe Hamlin added a 212 game for Northwest.  

Girls Bowling

Lumen Christi defeated Western: Madason McDonald rolled a 146 game for the Panthers. 

Marshall 28, Northwest 2: Serissa Meyers rolled a 195 game to lead the Mounties.
