Girls basketball

Columbia Central 51, Onsted 46: The Golden Eagles won a battle for first place in the Lenawee County Athletic Association. Zoie Bamm scored 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Tadassa Brown scored 15 points, with 11 rebounds, and five assists for CCHS (10-2 overall, 8-1 LCAA).  

 

East Jackson 70, AA Central Academy 4: Four players scored in double digits for East Jackson. Mariah Kerley scored 15 points, Savana Stewart added 12 points, Addison Hendricks tallied 11 points, and Aubree Bell scored 10 points for East Jackson (8-3). 

Grass Lake 67, Napoleon 29: The Warriors remained undefeated in Cascades Conference basketball with a 7-3 overall record. 

Jackson Christian 30, St. Philip 28: Jackson Christian earned its second victory of the season with a road with at St. Philip. 

 

Michigan Center 53, Addison 41: Samantha Wynn scored 11 points and grabbed five rounds for Michigan Center in the win. Iyana Watson and Kamryn Shannon scored nine points apiece and Sophia Allen scored six points in her first varsity game for Michigan Center (5-4 overall, 3-2 Cascades Conference). 

Springport 63, Union City 36: Ryann Locke earned a triple-double with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 steals for Springport. Maddux Overweg nearly pulled off her own triple-double with 22 points, eight assists, nine steals, and six rebounds for the Spartans (8-3 overall).

Wrestling

Hastings 46, Western 19: Western High School lost its first Interstate-8 Conference match of the season. Aidan Duncan (189), Dominic Honsinger (285), Lincoln Raczkowski (130), and Jacob singleton (145) all earned wins for Western. Honsinger and Raczkowski are not 30-0 on the season. 

Gymnastics

Coldwater 131, Western 128.2: Western High School senior Shelby Koehler placed first on the vault and junior Lilly Heydenburg tied for second on vault and fourth on beam for Western. 

Boys Bowling

East Jackson 29, Michigan Center 1: Dominick Courtney rolled a 192 game and Owen Bunch-Estes finished with a 290 series for the Trojans. Brenden Mullins finished with a 207 game and Steven Tripp rolled a 206 for the Trojans. 

 

Northwest 28, Pennfield 2: Damein Milliman finished with a 427 series and Ryan Wenman rolled a 404 for NWHS. Cody Hall also bowled a 208 game for Northwest. 

 

Hanover-Horton 22, Manchester 8: Layne Holda rolled a 264 game and Jack Kittel finished with a 417 series for the Comets (8-5). 

Girls Bowling

 

East Jackson 18, Michigan Center 12: Olivia Hurd finished with a 332 series and Kaelin Pond rolled a 185 game for Michigan Center. Desiree Poole finished with a 169 game and Tessa Wyngaert rolled a career-high 307 series for East Jackson. 

Northwest 20, Pennfield 10: Lisa Wenman finished with a 313 series and Serissa Meyer rolled a 299 series to lead Northwest. 

Hanover-Horton 27, Manchester 3: Kaytie Warren rolled a 320 series, Lana Gilliland bowled a personal-best 192 game, and Makenzie LaFountain finished with a 161 game for the Comets (8-5). 

Hockey

Livonia Franklin 3, Jackson United 2 (shootout): Kully Miotke and Aiden Chappell scored goals for Jackson United (9-8 overall). Easton Craig stopped 20 shots in goal.
