Boys soccer

Michigan Center 2, Grass Lake 2: Gus Vitale scored a pair of goals in the first seven minutes of the second half for the Warriors. He was assisted on the goals by Henry Black and Wesley Good. But the Cardinals responded 10 minutes later on a goal by Carter Kosmet. Jaiden Tilford scored the game-tying-goal at the 5:05 mark of the second half. Grass Lake outshot Michigan Center 14-10. Both Michael Van Riper of MCHS and Jack Easterday of Grass Lake came up with big saves in goals for their teams.  

Columbia Central 0, Blissfield 0: Columbia Central High School did everything right but put the soccer ball in the net during the Lenawee County Athletic Association match. The Golden Eagles (1-5-1)  finished with 21 shots on the night.  

Girls golf

Onsted Invitational: Lumen Christi Catholic High School edged Lenawee Christian by three strokes at Devils Lake Golf Course. The Titans shot a 356 and LCHS finished at 359. Columbia Central finished fifth (412), Grass Lake placed sixth (425), East Jackson was seventh (464), Napoleon finished eighth (485), and Concord was 10th (531). Ashley Hilderley shot an 81 to lead the Titans. Logan Bentley of CCHS tied for medalist honors with a 79. Paige Hubert shot a 98 to lead Grass Lake, Addisyn Rudd of East Jackson also shot 98, Napoleon was led by Katelyn Smilowski with a 115, and Hannah Stimer shot 114 to lead Concord. 

Boys tennis

Northwest 5, Harper Creek 3: Elijah Haldane earned a big 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 win for the Mounties at No. 4 singles. Northwest swept the doubles competitions to pull out the Interstate-8 Conference win. 

Western 8, Pennfield 0: Ryan Perkins, Jaxon Porter, and Noah McCollum won singles matches for the Panthers at Nos. 1-3 respectively. 

Lumen Christi 7, Hastings 1: The Titans swept the singles’ competitions at home on Monday against Hastings.
