Boys basketball

Coldwater 50, Lumen Christi 45: The Titans are now 7-4 on the season following the home loss to Coldwater. 

Northwest 63, Pennfield 41:Jalen Jordan scored18 points, Colton Gowdy added 16 points, and Duncan Moffitt scored 15 points for Northwest in the Interstate-8 conference win. 

Harper Creek 44, Western 32: The Panthers are 1-9 following the loss to Harper Creek in Interstate-8 Conference play.  

Girls basketball

Columbia Central 50, Hudson 35: Another win and another record for Zoie Bamm on Friday night. Bamm scored 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds – breaking the rebounding career record of Katie Johnson. Bamm now has 792 career boards for CCHS. Jaylen Lambka scored 11 points and Hailey Walker added seven points for the Golden Eagles. 

Concord 53, Union City 34: Concord High School won its first game of the season with a home Big Eight Conference win. Cece Barrett nearly had a triple-double with 12 points, 11 steals, and nine assists. Hannah Stimer led Concord with 14 points and Grace Thorrez added 12 points, eight rebounds, and five blocked shots. 

Napoleon at East Jackson: The Trojans broke open a close game with 19 points in the third quarter. Aubree Bell scored 16 points and Mariah Kerley added 15 points for the Trojans. 

Grass Lake 51, Lenawee Christian 42: Kate Starkey scored nearly half of the Warriors’ points tallying 25 in the non-conference game. 

Michigan Center 40, Hanover-Horton 39: The Cardinals won a key Cascades Conference win on the road Friday at Hanover-Horton High School. Julia Reynolds scored 13 points and pulled down six rebounds and Aaralyn Tripp added five points and eight rebounds for Michigan Center. Molly Soper scored 12 points and Olivianna Watkins added 10 points for the Comets. Both teams combined for 0-for-9 from the free throw line in the last minute of play. Hanover-Horton had a pair of shots in the final four seconds but could not get the basketball to fall. 

Tecumseh 66, Jackson 16: The Vikings fell to 4-8 on the season with the home loss. 

Jackson Christian 36, Litchfield 29: Maggie Hollowood and Kayley McCollum each scored 13 points for Jackson Christian (9-4). 

Coldwater 35, Lumen Christi 17: The Titans are 2-10 on the season following the loss. Lumen Christi was outscored 13-2 in the first quarter but rallied to trail by only six at the end of the first half. 

Northwest 64, Pennfield 24: The Mounties are on an 11-game winning streak following the win. Northwest has outscored its opponents by nearly 30 points per game during that stretch. 

Bronson 62, Springport 42: The loss stops a 10-game winning streak by the Spartans. Rylee Siefert scored 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds and Maddux Overweg scored 13 points and dished eight assists for Springport (10-2). 

Western 40, Harper Creek 33: Western High School is now on a four-game winning streak with the victory. Rayah Hitt scored her first double-double with 23 points and 10 steals for the Panthers. 

Hockey

Lumen Christi 4, at Portage West 3: Conor Smith, Daniel Brady, Gabe King, and Nolan Varner scored goals for the Titans. 

Gymnastics

JAG 139.825, Fowlerville 137.5: Alyssa Budd won or tied three events against Fowlerville. She tied with teammates Jenna Bradley and Kaitlyn Rumsey with an 8.85 on the vault, show won the bars with 8.575, and tied for first place on the floor exercise with 9.575. Megan Jones won the beam (8.925) and was third on the floor (9.375).
