
Girls Basketball
Grass Lake 68, Homer 49: The Warriors earned a road win in the Cascades Conference. Kate Starkey scored 22 points reaching the 1,000 career points mark in the process. Lauren Lutchka scored 13 points and Reese Lape added nine points and eight rebounds.
Wrestling
Leslie 51, Columbia Central 16: Christian Millican earned a pin at 113 pounds and Auden Kennedy earned a major win at 138 for CCHS.
Concord at Bath Quad: Concord went 0-2 on the night with losses to Bath (30-24) and Laingsburg (72-9). Ben Reiniche earned a pin for the Yellow Jackets at 285 pounds against Laingsburg.
Manchester 69, East Jackson 9: Clayton Clark earned a pin for EJHS at 157 pounds and Colton Raffensburger earned a win at 165. Manchester remains perfect in the Cascades Conference heading into the finals later this week.
Napoleon 65, Hanover-Horton 18: Napoleon High School earned pins by John Sleight-Zelenick (138), Zavior Skog (144), Mason Roth (165), Zach Bamm (175), Brady Warner (190), and Carson Lovett (215). A.J. Fielder (132) and David Fielder (126) earned pins for the Comets.
Michigan Center 54, Grass Lake 9: Tobin Reimers (113) and Ashton Bristow (132) earned pins for Michigan Center in the conference win.

Jackson 60, Lumen Christi 24: Jackson High School celebrated senior night with a victory. The Vikings earned pins by Aaron Rayas (175), Reece Deshazor (285), and Sean Benin (132). Lumen Christi earned pins by Hayden Rhinehart (190), Anthony Morin Castro (106), Nolan Curtis (126), and James Hart (165).
Northwest 29, Hastings 27: Northwest took a huge step toward a conference title in the Interstate-8 Conference with the home win. Kayden Beach (120) and Jeff Miller (144) earned pins for the Mounties in the low-scoring event. Northwest is undefeated in Interstate-8 competition this season.
Homer 66, Vandercook Lake 12: Cayley Britton (120) and Zander Jones (126) earned pins for the Jayhawks.
Pennfield at Western: Western won the match as Pennfield brought only three wrestlers.
Boys Bowling
Michigan Center 27, Columbia Central 3: The Golden Eagles fell to 9-7 in the Cascades Conference with the loss at JAX 60. Ethan Senkewitz finished with a 215 game and Brendon Bernstein added a 204 game for CCHS.
Napoleon 17, Grass Lake 13: Ethan Rose bowled a 256 game and Peyton Thorne added a 415 series to lead Napoleon to the win. Both teams now have only one loss in the Cascades Conference.

Girls Bowling
Michigan Center 19, Columbia Central 11: Kayleigh Molnar rolled a 191 game and Alexis Henry finished with 178 for CCHS. The Golden Eagles are 10-5 in the Cascades Conference – good for third place.

Hockey

Jackson United 4, Dexter 3: Jackson United scored three times in the final period to pull out the win on senior night. Goals were scored by Jack Whyte, Brennen Forward, Aiden Chappell, and Nick Baumgardner. Chappell and Peyton Paquin each finished with two assists for Jackson United. Jonah Hughes stopped 18 shots in goal for JU to preserve the victory.
Lumen Christi 8, Canton 3: Jake King, Daniel Brady, Isaiah Dinverno, and Luke Sexton all scored a pair of goals for LCCHS in the win. The Titans are now 14-3-1 on the season.
Gymnastics
JAG 131.35, Saline 129.25: Jackson Area Gymnastics remained undefeated in conference play with a win at Saline. Addi Richmond took first place in the vault (8.3), won the floor exercise (9.125), and was second on the beam (8.3). Maya Mroczkowski won the beam (8.35) and was second on the vault (8.1) for JAG.
College Athletic Events
Women’s Basketball

Schoolcraft 62, Jackson College 49: Schoolcraft outscored Jackson College 32-19 in the second half as JC suffers its first conference loss of the season. Zoie Bamm scored 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Kiyla Brooks added 10 points for Jackson College (16-3 overall). The Jets will travel to Macomb Community College for a 1 p.m. tipoff Saturday.
Marian 61, Spring Arbor 45: Marian outscored the Cougars 12-4 in the pivotal fourth quarter. Alana Nelson scored 15 points and Alize Tripp added 14 points for Spring Arbor (17-4 overall, 8-3 CL).
Men’s Basketball

Schoolcraft 70, Jackson College 58: The Jets pulled even at 40-all to start the second half but a 10-0 run by Schoolcraft helped them pull away for the road win. Brayden Pearson scored 15 points, Savonn Campbell tallied seven rebounds, and Antonio King dished seven assists for Jackson College (9-11 overall, 1-5 MCCAA). Jackson College travels to Macomb Community College Saturday for a 3 p.m. start.
Marian 81, Spring Arbor 69: Marian led 46-28 at halftime and the Cougars could not dig themselves out of that hole. Gabe Newhof finished with 21 points, Travis Grayson scored 19 points, and Kevyn Robertson added 16 points for Spring Arbor (11-10 overall, 4-7 CL).
