Division 3 at Leslie
Homer 40, Concord 36: The score was tied at 35-all with 3:30 remaining in the district final at Leslie. Diego Lebron scored on a three-point play to put Homer ahead for good. Homer made 3-of-3 foul shots in the final three minutes while Concord was 1-of-4. Graeley Sprague led all scorers with 18 points and Omarian Culliver scored 10 points for Concord (16-6). Homer (14-8) advances to the regional semifinal at Dansville against Bath (15-6) on Monday beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Division 3 at Michigan Center

Michigan Center 63, Napoleon 47: The Cardinals avenged two losses to the Pirates with a win in the district final at home on Friday. Daylen Hinkle scored 11 points in the first four minutes of the game as the Cardinals raced to a 17-4 lead. Nikolas Kosmet scored 14 points, Hinkle finished with 13, and Brody Shannon added 12 points for Michigan Center. Napoleon was led by Grant Bradley with 13 points, Javen Tumey-Patterson scored 11 points, and Zack Johnson tallied 10 points. The Cardinals (17-6) will face Clinton (13-9) in the regional semifinal at Dansville on Monday at 7 p.m. Napoleon finishes the season with a 19-3 record.

Division 3 at Columbia Central
Clinton 50, Columbia Central 47: The Golden Eagles had a chance to win the school’s first boys’ district basketball title since 1971, but lost at home on Friday. Jordan Pewsey scored 15 points to lead CCHS (15-7).
Gymnastics state team tournament

At White Lake Lakeland High School: Jackson Area Gymnastics finished eighth as a team at the state team gymnastics final at Lakeland High School on Friday. JAG finished with a team score of 139.5. Rockford won the meet with 143.825 to edge Grand Ledge. Alyssa Budd finished with a 9.4 on the beam and 9.6 on the floor exercise – the highest score of the day on that apparatus. Addi Richmond finished with a 9.3 on the floor and Megan Jones scored 9.0 in the same event.
