Softball

Dundee 8, Hanover-Horton 6: The Comets lost the game despite outhitting Dundee 14-5. Amierah Jarrett finished with four hits and Alexyn DuBois finished with three hits. 

Hanover-Horton 1, Dundee 0: Alexyn DuBois pitched a one-hitter, striking out 14 batters in the process. Dani Riggs knocked in the only run of the game for Hanover-Horton. 

Pinckney 13, Northwest 3: Izzy Rogers finished with three hits and three RBIs and Campbell Kloack recorded three hits – including a pair of doubles – for Northwest. 

Golf

Division 2 at Golf Club of Coldwater: Northwest High School just missed qualifying for the state meet finishing fourth at the Division 2 regional at Coldwater. The Mounties scored 323 to place fourth at the regional competition. Western tied for seventh (335) and Jackson was 13th (357). J.J. Miller of Northwest qualified as an individual with a 78. Hikaru Matzen  of Western tied for 11th with Cody Rowe of Northwest with 79s. Jackson was led by Jacob England with an 83. Vicksburg won the regional (299), Mason was second (316), and Gull Lake placed third (319). The D-2 final will be played at the Fortress Golf Course in Frankenmuth. 

Division 3 at The Medalist Golf Club:  Springport High School failed to post a team score, but Eli Dyer finished 83rd with a 128. Dowagiac won the regional with a 347, Olivet shot 360, and Hillsdale 364 to qualify for the MHSAA state Division 3 finals. 

Girls Soccer District

Division 3 at Columbia Central

Columbia Central 2, Olivet 1: Alyssa Stewart scored in the first half for CCHS. Jaden Bates scored the game-winning goal in the second half for Columbia Central. The CCHS defense held Olivet without a shot in the second half. Senior goalie Allie Jarchow got the win in net for Columbia Central. The Golden Eagles advanced to the district final with the win. The final has been changed to 10 a.m. on Saturday at CCHS. 

Quincy 6, Michigan Center 1: Cecelia Scaife scored on an assist from Sophia Allen for Michigan Center. Abbie Hess had 10 saves in net for the Cardinals. Quincy advances to the district final against Columbia Central. The Golden Eagles defeated Quincy 2-1 earlier in the season.
