Blissfield 6, Columbia Central 2: The Golden Eagles were limited to five hits in the game. 

Blissfield 5, Columbia Central 3: Conor Rentfrow finished with two hits for CCHS in the contest. 

Concord 13, Lenawee Christian 3: Levi Fritz finished with four RBIs and Anthony Evans knocked in three runs for the Yellow Jackets (10-6-1). 

Michigan Center 10, East Jackson 2: Carter McCave finished with two hits and two RBIs in the six-inning game. 

Michigan Center 11, East Jackson 6: Hadyn Hinkle finished with two hits and three RBIs and Tyler Husted tallied three hits for the Cardinals. Caleb Weaver had one of the Trojans’ three hits with a double. 

Addison 3, Grass Lake 2: Addison High School scored two runs in the seventh inning to pull out the win. Blake Stark finished with two of the Warriors’ six hits in the Cascades Conference game. 

Grass Lake 16, Addison 0: Brayden Lape struck out 11 batters in five innings on the mound for GLHS. Bryant Cook finished with three hits and two RBIs for Grass Lake. 

Hanover-Horton 4, Napoleon 0: Luke Soper and Jack Wooster combined for a one-hitter for Hanover-Horton. Braylon Sayles finished with a pair of hits and three RBIs in the win. 

Hanover-Horton 11, Napoleon 1: The Comets scored eight runs in the last two innings to break open a close game. Luke Soper finished with two hits and Braden Cogan knocked in two runs for the Comets. 

Harper Creek 1, Lumen Christi 0: Max McCluskey tallied three hits for Lumen Christi. 

Lumen Christi 9, Kalamazoo Hackett 3: Cooper Cumberworth tallied two hits and knocked in three runs for Lumen Christi. 

Leslie 12, Northwest 6 

Northwest 5, Leslie 2: Kaleb Kittinger-Munro recorded two hits and knocked in two runs for the Mounties. 

Manchester 35, Vandercook Lake 0: 

Manchester 35, Vandercook Lake 0: The Jayhawks managed only one hit in the two Cascades Conference games. 

Softball

Blissfield 15, Columbia Central 6: Kelsey Fausz finished with three hits and two RBIs for the Golden Eagles. 

Blissfield 8, Columbia Central 4: Columbia Central finished with 11 hits but could only push across four runs. Brooke-Lynn Hills collected three hits for CCHS. 

Concord 17, Bellevue 2: The Yellow Jackets exploded for 13 runs in the first two innings at home. Riley Adams finished with three hits and five RBIs for Concord. 

Grass Lake 14, Addison 0: Laney Brown and Katelyn Postuma combined on a one-hitter for the Warriors. Olivia Turner and Emily Brown both hit home runs and Turner knocked in eight runs for GLHS. 

Grass Lake 20, Addison 0: The Warriors scored nine times in the fourth inning against Addison. Bree Salts finished with two home runs and seven RBIs for the Warriors (17-1). 

Hanover-Horton 8, Napoleon 0: Alexis Flint had two hits and three RBIs and Dani Riggs finished with three hits. Alexyn Dubois earned the wins in both games for Hanover-Horton (14-4). Maggie Beer finished with a pair of hits for Napoleon. 

Hanover-Horton 10, Napoleon 0: Halle Swihart finished with three hits and two RBIs in the win. Napoleon was limited to three hits. Maggie Beer finished with a pair of hits for Napoleon.

Northwest 11, Brighton 6: The Mounties collected 13 hits in the game. Mollie Robinson collected two hits and knocked in two runs for NWHS. 

Northwest 3, Brighton 2: Campbell Kloack delivered a two-run single in bottom of the sixth inning to give the Mounties the lead. Izzy Rogers pitched a complete game with six strikeouts. 

Marshall 2, Western 0: Shaunicy Hendricks collected two of the Panthers’ four hits in the game. 

Western 5, Marshall 0: The Panthers scored four runs in the fourth inning breaking open a close game. Hailey Whisman struck out 10 batters on the mound for Western and Shaunicy Hendricks knocked in three runs at the plate. 

Girls track and field

Manchester Metrics: Napoleon High School won another Friday night invitational with 111 points at Manchester. Grass Lake finished third (85), Columbia Central finished sixth (32) and Michigan Center was seventh (31). Alyssa Budd of Napoleon won the long jump (17-0) and the pole vault (7-0), and Ereka Risner of Grass Lake took first place in the shot put (36-7).  

Stockbridge Invitational: Western High School won the event with 144 points. East Jackson placed fourth (52), Northwest finished fifth (50), Concord was sixth (30), and Springport placed seventh (15). Local individual winners included Addisyn Rudd of East Jackson in the 200-meter dash (28.35) and pole vault (8-6), teammate Mariah Kerley won the shot put (33-1), Kayda Herrick of Western won the high jump (5-2), and teammate Bayli Stewart on the long jump (16-5.75).

Hanover-Horton at Onsted Invitational: Hanover-Horton High School finished sixth with 59 points. Kaytie Warren of Hanover-Horton won the long jump (16-10.25) and teammate Alayna Shackelford took first place in the pole vault (8-6).  

JPEC at Quincy Invitational: Jackson Prep finished eighth in the girls’ event with 15 points. 

Jackson at Saline: Keiyera Johnson of Jackson finished second out of 54 hurdlers in the 300-meter hurdles in 47.68 seconds. 

Boys track and field

Manchester Metrics: Napoleon High School finished with 100 points to edge Columbia Central (90) at the Manchester event. Grass Lake was fifth (64) and Michigan Center placed eighth (36). Local individual winners included Broden Steinke of Columbia Central in the discus (132), DeVonta Habern of Napoleon won the high jump (5-11), and teammate Holden Van Poppel won the long jump (19-7.25). 

Stockbridge Invitational: Western High School won the event with nearly three times as many points as the second-place team. Western scored 204 points, Concord finished third with 55 points, Northwest scored 53, East Jackson was fifth with 46 points, and Springport scored 26 points finishing eighth. Local individual winners included Hudson Cooper of Northwest in the 400-meter dash (52.43), Cooper Singleton of Western in the 800-meter run (2:00), Michael Allen of East Jackson in the 1,600-meter run (4:50) and 3,200-meter run (10:27), Elijah Dyer of Springport in the 110-meter hurdles (16,47) and the 300-meter hurdles (42.43), Brennan Faber of Western won the shot put (47-3.75) and the discus (121-9), Addison Fisher of Northwest won the high jump (6-0), and Mekhi Wingfield of Concord won the long jump (21-8). Western won three of  four relays edging Concord by 1/100 of a second in the 800-meter relay (1:32.51). 

Hanover-Horton at Onsted Invitational: Hanover-Horton finished fifth with 67.5 points. Austin Brown of Hanover-Horton won the 800-meter run (2:01). 

JPEC at Quincy Invitational: Jackson Prep finished seventh with 22 points. 

Jackson at Saline: Ahmad Ameen of Jackson won the 400-meter dash in 50.43 seconds. 

Girls soccer

Columbia Central 8, Dundee 0: Alyssa Stewart scored a hat trick for the Golden Eagles in the win. 

Vicksburg 10, Grass Lake 0: The Warriors fell at home in a non-conference contest against Vicksburg. 

Springport 6, Michigan Center 1: Cecelia Scaife scored on an assist from Sophia Allen for the Cardinals’ goal. Abbie Hess had 18 saves in goal for MCHS.

Boys golf

Jackson Invitational: Lumen Christi Catholic High School won the event with a four-man total of 321 at Cascades Golf Course Friday. Hanover-Horton finished fourth (331), Western was sixth (349), Northwest was right behind the Panthers (354), Jackson finished ninth (368), Napoleon finished 11th (383), Grass Lake was 12th (388), and Jackson Christian finished 13th (409). Hanover-Horton golfers Ryder Pickering (74) and Brady Applegate (78) finished first and second at the invitational. Charlie Saunders of Lumen Christi tied Applegate for second (78), teammate Adam Fuller placed fifth with an 80, and Nash Hanchett of Lumen Christi and Cody Rowe of Northwest tied for sixth scoring 81s. 

LCAA at Clinton: Blissfield won the jamboree with 181, Hudson was second (182) and Hillsdale, Ida, and Clinton field for third with 183. Columbia Central failed to post a team score at Rustic Glen Golf Course.  

Big Eight at Jonesville: Maximilian Argumedo of Springport tied for 12th individually with Lleyton Bauman of Concord with 52s. Neither Concord nor Springport had four golfers to post a team score.  

Girls tennis

Chelsea 7, Jackson 1: Megan Jones earned a three-set win – 10-5 in the third set – at No. 1 singles for the Vikings’ only point. 

Columbia Central 5, Hillsdale 3: The win avenges a 4-all tie earlier in the season. The Golden Eagles swept the singles’ competition with victories by Morgan Fausz, Iliana Fowle, Lily Ellison, and Ashley Yang at Nos. 1-4 respectively.
