Baseball

Addison 7, East Jackson 6: Addison scored twice in the seventh inning to pull ahead. Bryce Fowler finished with three hits and two RBIs for the Trojans. 

East Jackson 7, Addison 2: The Trojans scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn the win. Bryce Fowler and Caleb Weaver each recorded two hits for EJHS. Fowler had a key two-run hit in the seventh inning. 

Grass Lake 18, Vandercook Lake 0: Three pitchers combined for a three-inning no-hitter. The Warriors posted 16 runs in the first inning. Luke Guthrie, Avin Sandoval, and Jack Reid each recorded two hits and three RBIs for the Warriors. 

Grass Lake 15, Vandercook Lake 0: Again, three pitchers combined for a no-hitter for the Warriors. Brayden Lape had three hits and knocked in three runs and Luke Guthrie knocked in three runs for Grass Lake (13-5). 

Lumen Christi 7, Hanover-Horton 2: Cooper Cumberworth pitched six strong innings for the Titans to earn the win at Jackson College. Gabe King and Brodie Gregory each had two hits for LCCHS. Hunter Fox and Jack Wooster each recorded a hit and an RBI for Hanover-Horton. 

Chelsea 10, Jackson 2: Steven Devaughn had two hits and one walk for the Vikings. 

Chelsea 10, Jackson 0: The Vikings were limited to four hits in the home loss against Chelsea. 

Jonesville 13, Napoleon 3: Grant Bradley and Mason Roth both finished with two hits for the Pirates. 

Jonesville 12, Napoleon 6: Lucas Hankis finished with two hits and two RBIs for the Pirates.

Grass Lake 17, Vandercook Lake 0: Grass Lake High School head softball Coach Roger Cook earned his 500th win in the lopsided win. Emily Guthrie and Bree Salts hit home runs for the Warriors in the win. 

Grass Lake 15, Vandercook Lake 0: Bree Salts and Rylee Fitzpatrick hit home runs for the Warriors. Cayley Britton had the only hit for the Jayhawks.  

Chelsea 15, Jackson 0: The Vikings were no-hit in the home contest. 

Chelsea 15, Jackson 0: Jackson High School could only muster one hit in the loss. 

Jonesville 4, Napoleon 3: The Pirates were limited to two hits in the home loss. 

Napoleon 8, Jonesville 6: Alyssa Budd finished with two hits and two RBIs and Raye Burke earned the pitching win with 11 strikeouts for Napoleon. 

Manchester 13, Michigan Center 3: Kylie McKee finished with two hits and an RBI for Michigan Center. 

Manchester 4, Michigan Center 3: Manchester scored one run in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull out the win. Kylie McKee finished with three hits for the Cardinals. 

Girls soccer

Columbia Central 1, Clinton 1: Alyssa Stewart scored the only goal of the game for CCHS (7-2-2 overall, 6-1-2 in LCAA). Clinton suffered its only non-winning contest in the LCAA with the tie. 

Grass Lake 5, Bronson 0:  Ella Easterday led the way for Grass Lake with two goals and an assist, Cassidy Ortbring scored another two goals, while Katie Million added one. Taylor Hoppe added two assists and Emmy Gutowski recorded a shutout in goal for the Warriors. 

Michigan Center 8, Hanover-Horton 0: Cecelia Scaife and Julia Reynolds each scored three goals and dished one assist for the Cardinals. Goals were also scored by Sophia Allen and Lydia Meyer. 

Lumen Christi 1, Northwest 0: Paige Lefere scored the only goal of the game for the Titans.

Boys golf

Big Eight Jamboree at Homer: Springport High School finished fifth with a four-man total of 252. Concord failed to post a team score. Maximilian Argumedo finished with a 51 to lead Springport and Lleyton Bauman of Concord finished 21st with a 58. 

Lakeview Invitational: Lumen Christi finished third behind Gull Lake (297) and Portage Central (302) with a four-man total of 313. Northwest was fifth (325) and Jackson finished ninth (342) at Cedar Creek Golf Course. Cody Rowe of Northwest finished tied for second with a 74 and Charlie Saunders of Lumen Christi was 10th with a 76. 

Jackson Christian at Colon Jamboree: Jackson Christian finished fifth in the SCAA jamboree at Cedar Lake Golf Course. The Royals finished with a four-man total of 215 led by Jonathan Locke, Christian Guerrero, and Anderson Jacobs with 53s. 

Girls tennis

Northwest 4, Pennfield 4: The Mounties won three of four doubles matches against Pennfield. Kayli Shackelford/Maddy McPherson, Emily Zielinski/Jordynn Elayaan, and Melia Piloski/Ally Thrun won doubles matches at Nos. 1, 2, and 4 respectively. 

Western 7, Harper Creek 1: The Panthers swept the doubles competition with wins by Teagan Robertson/Alena Engle at No. 1 doubles, Emma Reed/Gabi Davis at No. 2 doubles, a victory by Anna Wilcox/Becca Brushaber at No. 3 doubles, and Leslie Kinder/Salena Vo at No. 4 doubles. 

Lumen Christi 6, Coldwater 2

Jackson 7, Leslie 1: The Vikings swept the singles’ competition with wins by Megan Jones, Lauren Jones, Julia Hastings, and Olivia Jones at Nos. 1-4 respectively.
