Women’s Basketball
Jackson College 66, Triton University 49: The Jets improved to 3-0 on the season with a win at the Triton University Tournament. Kaylona Butler scored 20 points and created two steals for Jackson College. Zoie Bamm added 15 points and 15 rebounds and Emily Carbajal added 10 points for the Jets. Jackson concludes the tournament today (Saturday) with a 2 p.m. tip against Moraine Valley Community College.
Spring Arbor 99, Indiana Northwest 75: The Cougars jumped out to a 33-11 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a win at the Grace College Tournament. Four players scored in double digits for SAU as Alana Nelson scored 21, Alize Tripp added 16 points and three assists, Emma Smieska finished with 16 points and three assists, and Alex Long tallied 15 points in the win. Spring Arbor is now 4-0 and concludes the tournament at noon today (Saturday) against Olivet Nazarene at Grace College.
