Jonesville 20, Addison 14: The Panthers rallied from a 20-0 deficit, but could not score the winning touchdown in the Big Eight/Cascades Conference crossover championship game at Addison. The loss is the first of the season for Addison (8-1). Keelan Mullin and Nick Trumble scored touchdowns for the Panthers. Trumble intercepted a pass with less than two minutes remaining, but the Panthers turned the ball over on downs late in the game on Jonesville’s side of the field. 

Volleyball

I-8 Challenge: Western High School won the tournament featuring team from the Interstate-8 Conference and Wolverine Conference. The Panthers defeated Sturgis and split with Edwardsburg and Three Rivers. Western (25-6-3) beat Edwardsburg in the Gold Division semifinals and Three Rivers in the final. Kayda Herrick had 21 kills, Hannah Pratt finished with 49 digs, Lilli Luma added six aces, Brynn Rogers had 87 assists, and Hillary Griffin finished with a team-high 37 kills. 

Girls Cross country

LCAA final at Hudson : Hope Wilkes of Columbia Central was fifth overall (21:01) and teammate Kate O’Neil was 10th (21:45) in the Lenawee County Athletic Association final at Hudson. 

Interstate-8 Conference Meet: Lumen Christi won the Interstate-8 Conference title by taking the conference final on Saturday at Turkeyville. The Titans finished first with 32 points, Western was third with 79 points, and Northwest was seventh (171). Madison Osterberg (18:07) and Faith Smith (18:20) finished first and second respectively for Lumen Christi. Teammates Layla Lopez was fifth (19:35) and Gabrielle Osterberg (19:48) were fifth and sixth respectively for the Titans. Alyna Lewis of Western finished third overall in 18:47. Stacia Hedrich of Northwest placed 23rd overall in 22:00 

Boys Cross country

LCAA Final at Hudson: Jacob Walker of Columbia Central High School earned an individual title wit ha time of 16:59 at Hudson in the Lenawee County Athletic Association finals. Columbia Central finished sixth as a team with 135 points. 

Interstate-8 Conference Meet: Western finished fifth, Lumen Christi was sixth, and Northwest seventh at the Interstate-8 Conference meet at Turkeyville.  Jacob Singleton of Western finished second individually with a time of 16:11. Gannon Shore of Lumen Christi was 10th (16:50) and teammate Matt Hoop finished 11th (17:01). Hudson Cooper of Northwest was 32nd overall in 18:29.
