Boys Cross Country Regionals

Division 1

Huron Meadows Metro Park: Jackson High School finished 15th as a team with 442 points. Andrew England finished 65th for the Vikings in a time of 18:18. 

Division 3

Ella Sharp Park, Jackson: Hanover-Horton High School won the regional with 71 points. Lumen Christi finished seventh (174), Columbia Central was 10th (243), Napoleon placed 11th (272), and Michigan Center was 14th (455). Rogan Melling of Hanover-Horton won the event in 16:28, Isaiah Dinverno of Lumen Christi was third in 16:42, teammate Gannon Shore was fourth in 16:48, Landon Boulis of Hanover-Horton was 11th in 17:24, and Evan Shepherd was 15th with a time of 17:31. 

Division 4

Ella Sharp Park, Jackson: East Jackson High School finished fifth as a team – two spots out of qualifying for the state meet – with 109 points, Jackson Prep was seventh with 189, and Vandercook Lake placed 10th with 248 points. Michael Allen of East Jackson finished third (16:56), Jackson Prep runner Diego BoCole was ninth (17:29), and Javin Mericle of East Jackson placed 15th (17:58) to earn state qualifying spots. 

Division 4

At Portage: Concord High School won the regional with 36 points. Adair Artis of Concord was the regional champion in 16:55. Teammates Cole Bates was third (17:25), Isaac Waldron finished seventh (18:09), Lleyton Bauman was 13th (19:06), and Maddox Hutchinson was 14th (19:06).

Girls Cross Country Regionals

Division 1

Huron Meadows Metro Park: Jackson High School failed to post a team score, but Grace Brown finished 78th in 22:41 for the Vikings. 

Division 3

Ella Sharp Park, Jackson: Lumen Christi Catholic High School won the regional with 52 points, Leslie was second with 61, and Onsted third scoring 63. Qualifiers were Madison Osterberg of Lumen Christi who finished second in 18:18, teammate Macy Fazekas was seventh in 19:57, Hope Wilkes of Columbia Central finished 11th in 20:22, Sydney Fazekas of Lumen Christi was 13th in 20:47, teammate Gabrielle Osterberg was 14th with a time of 20:51, and Isabella Berry of Hanover-Horton was 18th but one of the top seven qualifiers not on qualifying teams in 21:16. 

Division 4

Ella Sharp Park, Jackson: Jackson Prep finished sixth as a team with 123 points. State qualifiers included Olivia Ortell of Jackson Prep who ran 22:11 and Priya Mericle was 19th in 22:55, but was one of the top seven qualifiers not on qualifying teams. 

Division 4

At Portage: Concord High School finished second as a team to qualify for the Division 4 state meet. Cieara Barrett of Concord was third in 21:00, teammate Riley Adams was 11th (22:52), and Hannah Stimer finished 16th (23:21). Concord finished with 67 points as a team to finish behind Kalamazoo Hackett with 36 points.
