Boys Soccer

Columbia Central 7, Jonesville 1: The Golden Eagles had five different players score goals in the first half. Goals were scored by Jonas Maki, Carter Simpson, Kaleb Pfaffinger, Tyler Ladd, and Dylan Hammond in the first 40 minutes of action. Logan Cripps earned the win in net for Columbia Central. 

Grass Lake 4, Michigan Center 0: The two teams were scoreless in the first half before the Warriors lit the lamp four times in the final 40 minutes. Kaden Leighton recorded 12 saves in net for Michigan Center.

Jackson Christian 9, Quincy 1: The Royals improve to 5-3-1 with its third consecutive 8-goal win. Jackson Christian has outscored its last three opponents 26-2. 

Jackson 9, Pinckney 2: Jackson improved to 7-3 for the season with the road win. 

Girls Golf

Concord at Onsted Invitational: Concord High School finished second with a four-person score of 439. Hannah Stimer was fourth individually with a 97 at Devils Lake Golf Course and Grace Thorrez shot 110 to finish seventh. 

Jackson at Skyline: Avery White finished tied for 25th with a 124 for the Vikings. 

Lumen Christi Quad Meet: The Titans finished fourth with a four-person total of 237. Best Peyton shot a 55 and Kathleen McClure and Mackenzie Whitney shot 58s to lead Lumen Christi. 

Boys Tennis

Lumen Christi Quad Meet: The Titans finished tied for second with 11 points in a quad meet with Pontiac ND Prep, Milan, and Columbia Central. The Golden Eagles finished fourth with three points. Luke Dumont/Holden Luce went undefeated on the day with three wins. 

Northwest 6, Coldwater 2: The Mounties won three of four singles’ matches with victories by Drew Maples at No. 1 in a three-set match, Alex Thrun won at No. 2, and Mason Beecher earned a straight-set win at No. 4 singles. 

Western Tri-Meet: The Panthers defeated Grand Ledge 6-2 but tied Gull Lake 4-4 in its latest meet at home. Jaxon Porter and Derek Olivas won a pair of matches at Nos. 2 and 4 singles respectively. Aidan Carter/Jack Spooner won two matches at No. 4 doubles for Western.

Women’s Golf

Spring Arbor University at Cardinal Golf Classic: Spring Arbor University is second after two rounds of the Cardinal Golf Classic at Washtenaw Golf Course. SAU has a two-day total of 699, led by Elle Bolkema who is third individually at 163. 

Men’s Golf

Spring Arbor University at Cardinal Golf Classic: Spring Arbor University leads the tournament after two rounds scoring 296 in the second round on Monday. The Cougars have a total of 606 and lead Huntington by four strokes heading into the third and final round. Blaze Tanner is fourth (150) and Brett Casto is 16th (155) individually in the tournament. 

Volleyball

Mott Community College 3, Jackson College 0: The Jets fell to Mott 25-18, 25-22, and 25-21. Jaden Bates led the offense for Jackson with eight kills and 11 digs, Brynn Harmon recorded six kills and three blocks, Kenadee Tompkins tallied 27 assists, Alivia Smith recorded 14 digs and Christine Orton finished with two aces for Jackson (4-2). The Jets will travel to Oakland Community College Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match.
