Volleyball

Columbia Central 3, Reading 0: The Golden Eagles defeated Reading 25-17, 25-15, and 25-20. Jaden Bates finished with eight kills, Berlynn Lyke dished 20 assists, and Logan Renfer tallied 10 digs for CCHS. 

Jonesville Tri-meet: Grass Lake won two-of-three matches defeating Jonesville and Hanover-Horton, but lost to Blissfield. The Comets also defeated Jonesville but lost to Blissfield in three sets. Natalee Krage had a big night with 45 assists and six kills, Becca Uphaus finished with 41 digs, and Chelsea Russ recorded 19 kills for Hanover-Horton. The Warriors were led by Olivia Turner with 25 service points, Mia Buttigieg dished 38 assists, and  Monique Diehl finished with 14 kills and three blocks for the night. 

Boys soccer

Columbia Central 3, Jonesville 0: The Golden Eagles shut out Jonesville by a score of 3-0 for the second time this season.  

Northwest 3, Lumen Christi 1: The Mounties outshot the Titans 11-4 in the game, including a 7-1 advantage in the second half. Lumen Christi started the scoring on a steal and goal by Chito Tavera at the 24:30 mark of the first half. Nick Grimes of Northwest responded with a goal on a corner kick at the 5 minute mark. Jaire Richardson scored three minutes later for NWHS for a 2-1 halftime lead. Teagen Hudgins scored the final goal for Northwest midway through the final half. Kaleb Murton earned the win in goal for NWHS with three saves.  

Western 3, Harper Creek 0: The Panthers scored on a goal with three minutes remaining in the first half to break open a scoreless contest. Jeff Palmer scored the goal for Western.  The Panthers are 10-0 on the season, ranked No. 9 in Division 2, and have recorded six shutouts in the process. 

Girls golf

Adrian Tri-meet: Jackson High School finished second to Dexter, 173-201, and edged Adrian by one stroke. Natalie Kulka shot a 39 and Felicia Huffman added a 51 for the Vikings. 

Boys tennis

Monroe 6, Jackson 2: The Vikings earned default wins by Harris Bashir at No. 4 singles and Christopher Day/George Tobey at No. 4 doubles.
