Volleyball

Western 3, Hastings 0: The Panthers earned a sweep at Hastings, 25-10, 25-13, and 25-7. Finley Elder, Nicole Shellberg, and Lilli Luma each recorded five kills for Western. Hillary Griffin finished with seven aces and Sydney Kellar had six digs for Western (20-5-1 overall, 5-1 Interstate-8). 

Marshall 3, Lumen Christi 0: The Redhawks swept the Titans at home in Interstate-8 Conference volleyball, 25-15, 25-15, and 25-19.  

Coldwater 3, Northwest 1: The Mounties won 25-12 in game one, but were swept by the Cardinals the rest of the night. The Mounties celebrated senior night honoring Piper Darrow, Abbie Sczykutowicz, Peach Kennedy, Leah Alfred, Kenzie Rowley, and Olivia Lamb.

Division 1 Districts

Skyline 8, Jackson 0: Jackson finished the season with a 5-12-1 record following the district loss at Skyline. 

Division 2 Districts

Coldwater 4, Western 3: The Panthers finished the season with an 8-6 record following a loss at Coldwater. Barrett Warner, Marshal Eva, and Jeff Palmer scored goals for Western. 

Division 3 Districts

Columbia Central 1, Leslie 0, shootout: The teams went to a shootout as daylight slipped away at Columbia Central High School. CCHS goalie Logan Cripps stopped two shots in the shootout as the Golden Eagles outscored the Blackhawks 4-3. Shootout goals were scored by Hunter Lowry, Laredo Adams, Derek Sanders, and Niko Panergo for CCHS. Leslie scored shootout goals by Austin Boertman, Tyler Burley, and Drake Mays. LHS goalie Blake Stofer held CCHS scoreless in 100 minutes of action. The Golden Eagles will face Onsted – a 2-1 winner over Clinton on Wednesday night – at home next Monday beginning at 5 p.m.
