Hudson 45, East Jackson 38: East Jackson jumped out to a 6-0 lead and led 16-13 at halftime.
Western 44, Grass Lake 30: The Panthers improved to 2-0 win an impressive win over the defending state champions. Alyna Lewis showed up to play with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, four steals and a blocked shot for Western. Lilli Luma stepped up with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and a blocked shot and Hillary Griffin gave a strong performance adding nine points for the Panthers.
Hanover-Horton 42, Homer 33: The Comets improved to 1-1 with the non-conference win at home. Hadlie Barber scored 11 points and Liv Watkins added 10 points and four assists for the Comets. Joe Lusk recorded his 150th win as a head coach.
Northwest 62, Jackson 18: Ashley Weller scored 21 points and Layne Sleight tallied 13 points for the Mounties (1-1). Keiyera Johnson scored seven points to lead Jackson (0-1).
Colon 62, Jackson Christian 21: The Royals traveled to Colon for a conference game to open the season.
Onsted 45, Napoleon 26: The Pirates lost the season opener in a non-conference game against Onsted.

Lumen Christi 3, Mattawan 1: Kavin Kennedy scored two goals and Matt Hoop stopped 31 shots in goal for Lumen Christi (1-0). The win is the first for LCCHS Coach Dan Brady.
