Competitive cheer
Homer Invitational: Hanover-Horton finished second at the Homer Invitational on Saturday. The Comets finished with a three-round total of 652 and was edged by four points by Madison. Vandercook Lake finished fifth in the competition.
Grass Lake Invitational: Chelsea High School won the varsity competition at the Grass Lake Invitational.
Bowling
Onsted Invitational: Nikolas Raab and Caleb Gritzmaker of Columbia Central advanced to the stepladder portion of the tournament. Raab was the second seed and Gritzmaker was the fifth seed at Ten Pin Alley in Tecumseh.
Hockey
Jackson 6, Okemos 3: Six different players scored in the game for Jackson United. Aiden Chappell, Easton Neitzke, Carson Lacinski, Brendan O’Dowd, Luke Wilcox, and Riley Rogers scored for Jackson. Nick Nau earned the win in net for Jackson (3-2).
Lumen Christi 6, Portage Central 2: Nolan Warner scored twice and Matt Hoop earned the win in net for the Titans. Lumen Christi is 2-0 on the season with a pair of wins this weekend.
