Boys track and field finals

D2 at Forest Hills Eastern High School: Western failed to score points at the D-2 track and field final. Lincoln Raczkowski had the best finish for the Panthers, finishing 15th in the 300-meter hurdles (42.18) for the Panthers.  

D3 at Kent City High School: Grass Lake placed 12th with 17 points, Napoleon placed 21st with 10 points, Columbia Central scored six points for 39th place, and Hanover-Horton finished in 42nd place with five points. Earning all-state honors were: Graham Gumper of Hanover-Horton who was fourth in the 100-meter dash (11.33); Jacob Walker of Columbia Central was seventh in the 1,600-meter run (4:24) and fifth in the 3,200-meter run (9:42) to break the school records again; Holden Van Poppel of Napoleon finished third in the 110-meter hurdles (15.22) and Jack Easterday was fifth in the same event (15.53); and Easterday was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (40.73) and Van Poppel placed fifth (41.46).  

D4 at Baldwin Middle School (Hudsonville): Concord finished 13th with 16 points. Adair Artis of Concord finished eighth in the 400-meter dash (52.35); Concord finished fourth in the 400-meter relay (44.9) with Tyler Carpenter, Omarion Culliver, Malachi Boyd, and Connor Keefer; the Yellow Jackets were fifth in the 800-meter relay (1:34.11) with Carpenter, Boyd, Culliver, and Tyreke Brown; and Concord placed third in the 3,200-meter relay (8:23) with Artis, Joe Bulko, Isaac Waldron, and Jonathan Mikovits.

Girls track and field finals

D2 at Forest Hills Eastern High School: Western High School finished 12th with 18 points on the day. Alyna Lewis finished second in the 800-meter run (2:12.98); the Panthers earned medals by finishing fifth in the 800-meter relay with Lewis, Jocie Berry, Emma Berdiner, and Lilli Luma; Western finished third in the 1,600-meter relay with Anna Burk, Lillian Heydenburg, Luma, and Lewis. The top eight finishers in each event earns an all-state medal.

D3 at Kent City High School: Lumen Christi finished seventh with 24 points, Michigan Center was 31st with eight points, Grass Lake scored 4.5 points for 41st place, and Hanover-Horton tied for 44th place with three points. Lexus Bargesser of Grass Lake tied for fourth in the 400-meter dash (58.88); Madison Osterberg of Lumen Christi was second in the 800-meter dash (2:16.01) and she was seventh in the 1,600-meter run (5:07); teammate Faith Smith was eighth in the 1,600-meter run (5:09) and fourth in the 3,200-meter run (10:52); Hanover-Horton finished sixth in the 1,600-meter relay (4:16) with Olivianna Watkins, Morgan Kuhl, Chelsea Russ, and Sophia Reynolds; Lumen Christi finished second in the 3,200-meter relay (9:44) with Lily Beebe, Smith, Sydney Fazekas, and Osterberg; and Elly Trefry of Michigan Center was runner-up in the pole vault (10-6).

D4 at Baldwin Middle School (Hudsonville): East Jackson finished fifth with 32 points in the Division 4 state finals at Hudsonville. Brynn Mericle of East Jackson won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.93 seconds for the Trojans. She also finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (48.88); the Trojans were sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (52.62) with Kaitlyn Pilch, Addisyn Rudd, Savana Stewart, and Mericle; the same team finished third in the 800-meter relay in 1:50.47; and Rudd finished second in the pole vault (9-3) for East Jackson.
